Making Plans

When the meeting between the cousins were done, Patrick, Ben, and McKayla walked out of the kitchen to join their girlfriends. The girls had waited for them to see what was happening. Patrick sat down between Sasha and Sabel, with Kim on the other side of Sabel, while Ben sat down between Mallory and Jasmine. Jasmine leaned her head on Ben’s shoulder while Mallory just sat close to him. Sasha curled up into Patrick’s side with his arm wrapped around her and her head resting on his chest while Sable leaned her head on his shoulder. McKayla took the empty spot beside Jasmine.

“So, what was that about?” Kim asked.

“Just about trying to get along with each other better. All of us cousins have agreed that we are going to help McKayla try to fit in at school when it starts back being that she is going to be moving to Big Lake. McKayla has also agreed to try and stop belittling us.” Patrick said.

“I am sorry about how I acted earlier. I’ll tell you that I am trying to work on it but sometimes my upbringing comes through.” McKayla said.

“We will help you with it as well. We should all be friends anyway since you will probably be hanging out with us most of the time anyway.” Sasha said and the other girls nodded in agreement.

“Thanks for that. So, I don’t want to **** anything on you, but mom said that we should become friends since from what she told me, we are going to be living together once we move to Big Lake.” McKayla said, looking at Jasmine.

“Oh really? I hadn’t heard that.” Jasmine said.

“Yeah. Mom said that she and your mom talked about it before dinner and they both agreed.” McKayla said.

“Well, in that case, I don’t see why we can’t try to be friends.” Jasmine said.

“Thanks. I think I will need all the help I can get when we start back to school. I think it is going to be a culture shock for me.” McKayla said.

“No problem. So, mom told me that your family is going to be with us for the rest of the week. Maybe we should go and hang out somewhere privately and get to know each other. What do you say?” Jasmine asked.

“I like that idea. Should we go now?” McKayla asked.

“Sounds good to me. I will see you later, baby.” Jasmine said as she kissed Ben and then the two girls were off to another part of the house to have some time to get to know each other.

“That was nice of Jasmine. I hope they can find some common ground.” Mallory said.

“Yeah. Me too. So, what do you guys have planned for the rest of the night?” Ben asked, looking over at Patrick and his girls before looking at Mallory.

“We don’t have anything planned, so we are up for anything.” Sabel said.

“I think I might go and hang out with Debbie, Shelley, and Marybeth.” Kim said.

“You should. I don’t want you spending all of your time with us while your friends are here too.” Patrick said and Kim got up and left the room to find her friends.

“I think I might go and see what the other guys are up to. You want to come and join me?” Ben said and then looked at Mallory.

“I think I am going to hang out with the girls. We don’t get much time together anymore.” Mallory said.

“Sounds good. I’m fine to hang out with you guys for a little while though. There is still plenty of the night left to hang out with the guys. You should come with, Patrick.” Ben said.

“I will think about it. I don’t want to make any plans yet.” Patrick said.

Sasha turned toward Patrick’s ear and whispered something in his ear. They both smiled and then Patrick nodded to her. Sabel must have heard it too because she smiled at them too.

“Looks like you might have some fun lined up for later in the night if nothing else.” Mallory said, smirking at Patrick.

“It looks that way.” Patrick said.

“Will Jasmine and I be seeing you before bed tonight?” Ben asked Mallory.

“It all depends on what the girls and I get up to.” Mallory said.

“Well, I hope you have fun.” Ben said.

“You too.” Mallory said.

“I think us girls should go and watch a movie. What do you think, Mallory?” Sasha asked.

“Sounds like a plan to me.” Mallory said.

“So, what are you going to do, Patrick?” Ben asked.

“Not sure. It’s been a while since I have hung out with Debbie, when it is just the two of us. I might do something with her.” Patrick said.

“Yeah. You two have always been close. You two need your alone time.” Ben said.

“You aren’t planning on fucking her are you?” Sasha whispered in Patrick’s ear and he couldn’t help but laugh at the excited glint in her eyes.

“No, nothing like that. I think she and Chad are getting close, so I don’t want to come in between the two of them.” Patrick said.

“Are you actually alright with that? We all know how Chad can be.” Sabel said.

“I think Debbie could be a good influence on Chad. Plus, if he hurts her, we all saw tonight not that she can take care of herself.” Patrick said and the others nodded in agreement.

“I think the guys are playing pool. I think I might go down and join them now. I will see all of you later.” Ben said as he kissed Mallory and left the room.

Once Ben was gone, Mallory turned to the rest of the group and asked, “So, is that the real plan or do you have something else planned?”

“It’s the real plan for now. We do have something set up for later if you want to join.” Sabel said.

“I think I will.” Mallory said.

“Good. So, I will go and see if Debbie wants to hang out for a while. Where do I meet you girls after that?” Patrick asked.

“Meet us in the theater room. I think we can have lots of fun in there.” Sabel said.

“Oh, I like that plan.” Sasha said.

“Oh yeah. Plenty of privacy and even if someone shows up, it’s dark, so they might not even see us.” Mallory said.

“Are you sure you don’t want to hang out with Ben later?” Patrick asked.

“Naw. I want some best friend time, and that includes you, Patrick.” Mallory said.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Sabel said.

“Me either.” Sasha said.

“Well, I will see the three of you later.” Patrick said as he gave his girlfriend a kiss and then he walked over to Mallory and gave her a kiss too.

Once he was gone, the girls talked for a bit longer. “So, what is going on with you and Ben? You have been spending more time with Patrick this week than you have with him.” Sasha said.

“I don’t know. I am just not as happy as I used to be. I mean, I still like him, but something is just different.” Mallory said.

Sasha and Sabel looked at each other and then Sabel said, “Something like you might have feelings for someone else.”

“I don’t know if it is that or not. It’s just that I would rather hang out with you two and Patrick. We have been best friends since I can remember and I just feel like I have gotten away from that.” Mallory said.

“Well, you can use the rest of this week to figure things out. If I were you though, I wouldn’t hold onto Ben for much longer if you don’t see a future with him.” Sasha said.

“I know. I just don’t know where my mind is right now.” Mallory said.

“I know exactly where it is and it is pretty obvious. We have talked about this before and you know Patrick and I are up for it, but you need to be sure for yourself.” Sasha said.

“I know. I am right back where we were this summer.” Mallory said.

“If you have feelings for Patrick, you need to act on them. Especially if you don’t still have them for Ben.” Sabel said.

“You’ve noticed too?” Mallory said.

“I think most everyone has. You haven’t spent much of any time with Ben the whole time we have been here and almost all of your time with Patrick.” Sabel said.

“Do you think Ben and Jasmine have noticed?” Mallory asked.

“I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they have.” Sasha said.

“Well, I don’t know where my feelings are right now so I can’t make a decision yet.” Mallory said.

“That’s fine. Just know that we are here to talk if you need it.” Sabel said.

“Thanks girls. Now let’s go and watch that movie and get off this depressing topic.” Mallory said and the others nodded as they left the room and made their way down to the theater room.
