The Backstory

Gerard "Jerry" McKenzie watched out the front window. He then saw what he was waiting for, his step-mother Anne and his step-sister Courtney sprinting for the front door while arguing with one another. They got to the front door. Anne opened it, and she and Courtney tried to muscle in first.

"I can't believe you let me humiliate myself like that!" Screeched Anne.

"What about me?!" Courtney yelled back.

They saw Jerry. "What are you looking at?!" they both hurried to their rooms, trying to cover their half-nudity.

Jerry laughed. He took a pendant out of his pocket. It looked like a silver oval with a red glass center on a silver chain. He found it in the antique/thrift shop he worked at for a summer job.

Twenty minutes earlier:

Anne and Courtney were reading to go for their thrice weekly jog together. Jerry walked up to them as they were heading for the front door. "Hey, check this out." Jerry pulled out the pendant.

"What's that?" asked Anne.

"Is that some sort of dorky comic book thing?"

Jerry swung it back and forth. "I was second team all-district lacross, so hardly a geek."

The two women could not take their eyes off of the swinging pendant.

"Yeah, but you're....." Courtney said before trailing off.

Soon, both women were entranced.

"Anne, remove your top and bra and tuck them behind the couch cushions," said Jerry.

Without speaking or changing her expression, Anne obeyed. While Anne was stripping, Jerry told Courtney to strip out of her shorts and panties and stuff the items of clothing behind the couch cushion.

After both women were half-naked, Jerry continued: "Anne, you won't notice you're topless unless someone points it out or you finish your jog. Once you realize you jogged topless, you'll be furious with Courtney for no telling you. Understand?"

"I understand," said Anne in robotic monotone.

"Anee, you will notice Courtney is naked below the waist. That is how you have seen her since she came into the living room. You think it's hilarious she doesn't notice and will say nothing to her about her partial nudity."

He then turned to Courtney. "Courtney, you won't notice you're naked below the waist unless someone points it out or you finish your jog. Once you realize you jogged half nude, you'll be furious with your mom for not telling you. Understand?"

"I understand," said Anne in robotic monotone.

"Courtney, you realize your mom is topless and does not realize it. You don't remember seeing her with a top on this morning. You think it's hilarious she doesn't notice and will say nothing to her about her partial nudity."

"Anne, Courtney, as soon as you leave here, you won't remember seeing me this morning. Whenever I say, 'Jerry Joker,' you'll fall back into this trance. Wake!"

"Stop wasting our time," said Anne. "I can't wait until you go off to college in August."

Jerry noticed Courtney snickering as she stole a glance at her mom.

The two women then left for their jog.
