Elowen sat in her bedroom, grumbling to herself as she pored over a leather-bound journal. The goth had put together a circle of candles, deliberately arrayed at specific points in the salt circle, all centered around a silver bangle. The silver bangle that Blaire had stolen from Elowen. The goth would have been fine letting Blaire borrow it, had she only asked, but it was the disrespect of just taking it that had pushed Elowen over the edge. Even then, the bangle alone would have been something Elowen would get over. The problem was that it was the straw the broke the camel's back. Blaire was perfectly capable of being kind, and Elowen normally considered her a friend, but enough of that stereotypical rich bitch slipped through now and then to build up pressure, and now it had burst.

"Talks about how much stuff she can afford. Talks about how much better dressed she is. And then she fucking steals from us?" Elowen hissed as she found the translation she was looking for. "Maybe a little humiliation will teach her some humility."

Elowen looked over her selected curse.

The **** of Dignity- Cast upon a thief. The afflicted will suffer absolute and complete humiliation and loss of dignity. The curse can only be lifted by returning what was stolen to its rightful owner.

Elowen was confident in her translation work and research. Her approach at magic was pieced together from numerous sources from all over the world and all across history. To be totally honest, it was purely theory. But the idea that maybe, just maybe, she'd be the first person in centuries to actually perform magic always overpowered the more rational half of the goth's brain.

Unfortunately for Elowen, she'd made one massive mistake.

Blaire had indeed stolen the bangle from Elowen. But Elowen had taken it from Alexis. Who had grabbed it from Yuki's purse. Who had taken it from Rei. Who had herself stolen it from a classmate in high school who'd moved to another continent...

They were all thieves, so far as the bangle was concerned.
