Divine powers

Renee has had plenty of time to suffer at the hands of many people. However, there is someone who needs her help and is willing to help keep her out of trouble. This someone came from afar and has been seriously considering offering their powers in exchange... for Renee herself.

Moradin, god of storms, mountains and mines, guardian of artisans, miners and cheesemakers, is a god who has long been forgotten or called by different names. Wielding his legendary pickaxe and appearing as a man with long hair and a beard, he has been called by different names and has become known for favoring the underprivileged. Recently, however, during an intense battle against his arch-rival, the mad god Poketnaru, he had to give his all to finally defeat his rival forever, which resulted in the loss of his combat pickaxe known as "The Brutal Pick."

The ice giants that Moradin fought in the past have been trying to infiltrate the world again, wanting the legendary Brutal Pick for themselves, and Moradin needs a disguise that they would never suspect.

The old Moradin wandered for some time on the surface of the earth until he felt the presence of his pickaxe again; this happened when he arrived in Oakvale. Moradin knew that the Brutal Pick was nearby, but he knew it would take time to find it and he knew it could be mistaken for an ordinary pickaxe by inattentive eyes. Among the people, he resembled a tall, strong man, with a prominent nose and ears, a thick, dark beard, bushy eyebrows, and long hair. He dressed like a lumberjack, and although he didn't look ugly, there was definitely something intimidating about him.

The storm god spent some time lurking, listening to conversations in hiding, until he heard the whole recent story about a certain Renee. She seemed like someone who would agree to his stupid plan:

Step 1: Possess the body of someone they would never suspect.

Step 2: Find the pickaxe.

Step 3: Find the pickaxe before the ice giants find it and use its power to try to take over the Earth as they once did.
