The Date starts

You dress up smart but casual, a collared shirt and comfortable trousers with a light jacket as it was mid September. You have your driving licence, but your mum couldn't afford to get you a car and needed hers today. However, Emma's dad had arranged to pick you up and drop you off at the cinema since Emma brought the tickets. The drive would be a chance to make a good first impression on her dad.

You get in the back seat as Emma is sitting up front in a green t-shirt and jeans, you feel like you are a little over dressed.

"Hi, Sir, I'm John, nice to meet you." You introduce yourself.

"Name's Barrett, you don't have to call me Sir." Emma's father replies in a stoic tone. "But thanks for being respectful." He laughts, breaking the tention. "Emma tells me you are a human exchange student at her school. What is it like being the only human around here?" He asked.

"Well, I have been given the rank of apex omnivore, like yourself, so it's been good. Made a few friends, digested a few prey, done my best to stay out of a belly even with the school reformers being as good as they are." You explain, and it seems that Berrett likes your answer but does not ask any follow-up questions."

"I managed to snag tickets to the new MCU movie." Emma explained as her dad drove. "I know it's been out a few weeks but you said you hadn't seen it." Marvel comics and their successful movie franchise had been developed independently on both worlds but when early T.V series had started to air in the 60s there had been a lot of controversy and communication between the worlds as the companies argued over who had coppied who, and eventually the companies chose to merge. Luckly it had inspired many crossover comics and movies as each comic already had a second world for the other studio's heroes to come from. The most argued character is Spider-Man. In the human world, Spider-Man was a human who gained the powers of a spider by being bitten by a radioactive spider. In the Anthro world, Spider-Man was a male spider anthro who had gained the equivalent size of a female spider anthro, which meant he had enhanced abilities as his physiology had scaled with him. There was also the human world's Spider-Boy, who was simply an anthro spider boy who had traveled to the human world, where he would be strong and special and not weak and prey. Whereas the anthro world's Spiderboy had been a human who had traveled to the anthro world and eaten a radioactive male spider anthro and gained his powers. You and Emma argued over which was cool and which was dumb for the car ride. It was a spirited nerd debate, more fun, and you ended up agreeing on most points.

When you got to the cinema, Barrett held you back for a moment. "Here is some snack money." he said as he parmed you a handful of bills.

"Thank you, but I don't need it, I have some money from my savings." You reply.

"I am going to forget you said that last bit, take it. However, I will be impressed if you to bring it back in a concessionaire hat." He said with a wink.

You catch up with Emma. "What did he want?" She asked.

"To give me snack money and challenge me not to use it." You reply.

You get inside and see that the cinema is not too busy. The big movies all came out a few weeks ago, and streaming sites have been taking more and more customers away. You notice a sign that reads "Vore of staff incurs a fine equal to the wage they would have earned with the remainder of their shift. " This was common practice for customer service businesses. They couldn't stop someone from using dominance to eat the staff, but they could charge them for the inconvenience. However, you had a plan to complete Barrett's bet. You just had to find two members of the concessions staff at the very end of their shift.
