Affirm your friendship with Toko and tell her the truth.

In all honesty, Kiyotaka was kind of glad Toko was here. Things were already bad enough due to his mishaps with the Sex Note, but if he hadn't got caught, who knows what could have happened?

"I didn't- you're not easy, Toko. I don't think you'll ever be "easy"." Kiyotaka began, as Toko squinted at him.

"So I'm difficult, then?!" She asked, her expression flipping between confusion and annoyance- a common duo when it came to her.

"No- I mean, absolutely, but no! Look, I'll tell you everything. I'm sorry. It all began this morning when I was in the courtyard..." Kiyotaka murmured, suddenly very cognizant of the fact that he was telling the story entirely in the nude. It all must have been ludicrous to everyone, but Toko didn't interrupt. In fact, the moment he mentioned the words "Sex Note" and gestured to the notebook on his desk, her focus only seemed to grow.

The matter of retrieving Toko was supposed to be simple. At least, it had been until someone had run into the three in the hallway and started talking their ears off. Well, not someone.

Something.

"It seems too advanced for a children's toy." Kyoko murmured, as her gaze flicked towards the two men to her right. "Do you think it could be one of the Ultimate Inventor's contraptions?"

"I KEEP TELLING YOU, I'M NOT A TOY! I'm MONOKUMA! MONOKUMA! SAY IT LOUD! SAY IT PROUD! MON. O. KUMA!" The black-and-white bear exclaimed at her, expression irate before it flipped into a smile. "And you three are gonna be late to class if you keep this up! I was merely enjoying a snack while roaming the halls, and I run into three potential truants! You weren't about to run off into the bathroom and make a Kirigiri Sandwich, were you?"

"Absolutely not." Byakuga replied, trying his best to glare the talking bear-contraption into submission. He'd tried to walk around it many times, but it was faster than he was. What the hell was a thing like this doing here?

"A Kirigiri...sandwich?" Makoto asked, as the bear turned to him.

"It's pretty simple. See, she's the meat and "fun" bits of the sandwich, and you two guys are the bread loaves. My guess is, it'd be a combination like "Makoto, Kyoko, then Byakuga!" Something like that, right?" Monokuma asked, as Makoto's face flushed with recognition. "Oh." He merely replied, as a bead of sweat dripped down his cheek. "I see."

"Again, absurd."

"I agree." Kyoko stated. "Putting Byakuga as the top loaf in any situation I'm involved with is extremely absurd."

"I'm sorry?!"

"Now, why exactly are you following us?" She continued, ignoring that she'd become the new subject of Byakuga's glare. "If it were just out of curiosity, then you wouldn't be so persistent."

"Well, my sister- really annoying rabbit named Monomi, also a member of staff here, told me that another illicit notebook had fallen on school property! She told me not to go to the courtyard while she found a proper place to dispose of it! So I immediately went to the courtyard and couldn't find it anywhere! When I told her about it, she got really upset! Hahah!" Monokuma cackled, only to pause.

"But uh, yeah. You guys don't look like you're about to make a Kirigiri sandwich, so I guess that rules Makoto out."

"Huh?" Makoto asked, as Kyoko paid no mind to it, merely raising her hand calmly.

"What do you mean another illicit notebook? Does this have to do with the recent news?"

"Nope! I've said too much! I don't wanna make things boring now. Part of a good mystery is when you only drop enough bread crumbs to get someone hooked, even if the audience already knows a crucial bit that the characters don't. Anyway, you all are looking for Toko, right? Can I come with you?"

The three looked at each other.

"No." Byakuga spoke.

"I don't really mind, as long as you stop accusing me of stuff." Makoto muttered, trying his best to keep a smile as he squinted at Monokuma.

Kyoko hadn't responded- she'd just kept walking, the gears in her own head turning.

"Damn. She won't even break this tie. I guess now I'm stuck between you two guys in stalemate." Monokuma spoke, extending one paw to Makoto's hand, which he took, and one paw to Byakuga's hand, which he pointedly did not take.

"Let's just keep moving." Makoto muttered, as the four made their way down the hall towards the classroom...
