Bear transforms and a two-round boss fight begins.

Samus took her now fully refitted armor and made her way through the spaceship, along countless corridors, overcoming all the various puzzle paths that strangely abound in these types of space stations, using her sphere mode and grappling hook (it's still Metroid, after all). She thus reached the room where Administrator Bear was hiding and working. Unfortunately, the administrator had had plenty of time to plan a response, but Samus was ready for anything... or almost.

Since his master plan had gone awry, Administrator Bear had panicked; the station's AI had now activated a security protocol that prevented him from escaping, forcing him, a skilled scientist, to face the most lethal mercenary in the galaxy, but he had a handle on the station's augmentations.

In his panic, he added one modification after another, a combo of physical augmentations that would have transformed him into a grotesque monster, but that would have allowed him to face Samus.

When Samus entered the laboratory and was replaced by a gigantic, troll-like creature, the fight was brutal; the creature's body was immune to most of the damage from its weapons.

Samus tried to take it down for a good ten minutes, but nothing worked.

Station AI: Samus, I analyzed the genetic modifications Administrator Bear applied with the augmentations. There's no resistance to poison.

Samus: I don't have poisonous weapons.

AI: Your drone does.

Samus: I remind you, my drone tried to kill me a few hours ago.

AI: She's submissive now, maybe you can convince her to cooperate.

Samus realized she had no other choice. No, actually, she could take an augmentation to make herself poisonous, but since she didn't even remember taking the bee-girl augmentation, she wanted to avoid adding anything else.

Samus: Can you slow this down?

Drone: Oh? Things aren't going well for you, I see.

Samus deactivated her armor, reverting to her zero suit.

Samus: Bear transformed into a monster to try to kill me. He's probably in a state of homicidal madness now and is heading here.

Drone: What? Do you want to spare him? Is that why you're here looking for some kind of counter-augmentation?

Samus: No, he must have already taken that into account, but the station's AI informed me that he hasn't developed a resistance to poisons. I guess you see where I'm going.

Drone: You want me to sting him to ****? Are you serious?

Samus: If you cooperate, we can both get out of this alive. Sure, I could escape, but I don't want to let this madman do who knows what with this station's technology.
