The IPC have long been regarded as a benevolent entity, one that conducts its dealings in service of the Amber Lord and the greater balance of commerce.

That couldn't be more further than the truth.

Behind its immaculate reputation, the IPC is ruthless, and cruel, and are willing to pursue its objectives by any means necessary, so long as its public image remains untarnished.

This is where the IIU comes in.

Through a joint initiative with the Intelligentsia Guild and the Technology Department, supplemented by appropriated Punklordian technology, the IPC has developed a line of assets so classified that knowledge of their existence is restricted to a select few. Chief among them: the wireless transfer of one’s consciousness into an entirely unrelated host.

The technology has its limitations. A single occupation cannot exceed three system months. Even so, an extraordinary amount can be accomplished within that window, especially given the additional advantages the process affords.

Upon successful transfer, the host mind is rendered accessible to the intruder. Memories, habits, and behavioral patterns are laid bare, allowing information to be gathered with remarkable efficiency. This access also enables seamless integration into the host’s life, to the point where a properly trained operative can deceive colleagues, associates, and even close family members without raising suspicion.
