Reasons and Suspects

Wonder Woman looks pensive for a few seconds before quickly coming to a decision.

“We will have to search for any clues where it could have gone, if it is in the hands of a demi god as Aphrodite said, then it must have left a trail” just as she is about to leave the room, with you in tow as it is your job to follow her, you quickly out a stop to her movements with your next words.

“I bet you 50 bucks that it was Circe”

“What?”

“Oh… sorry, that was a joke” you said with a nervous grin holding your hands up “I… tend to make those kinds of joke from time to time, I’ll shut up”

“No, not that, I’m used to jokes thanks to The Flash and the rest of the Justice League, what did you said after that?”

“That it was Circe?”

“And what, pray tell, gives you that idea?”

“Because is the only one that makes sense, really” and from your point of view it was, no other explanation could come to your mind after those news.

“I swear, for a moment you sounded as Batman, please explain yourself fully” her eyes narrow at you making you feel way too nervous.

“Ah… I’ll take that as compliment princess… anyway, you heard Aphrodite, she doesn’t know who has that mirror, it most have been recent when it dissapeared, and a very dangerous artifact considering how quickly she came asking for your help, and besides, I’m pretty sure not many knew about this mirror, so placing two and two together well, who else but Circe? Powerful magical artifact, a god (or goddess in this case) from Olympus the victim and she doesn’t know who did, what happened or where the responsible one is so…”

“Circe” Wonder Woman says with fatality, as if the world was starting to weight on her shoulders, although considering the enmity between the witch and the goddess, it wasn’t that strange “when you put it like that there is no other possibility… you know, quick thinking and clue solving didn’t come with your résumé” she sais now with a smile, you simply shrug.

“The agency didn’t even care about what I could do; they only asked me about… well”

“Don’t worry, I know, many new heroines and villains ask for a sidekick for less than honorable reasons, but it seems that I was the one who won when they chose you as my sidekick Honey P…”

“No, never say that name please, I wanted another name, maybe Phalanx, but nooooooo, they tried to be as demeaning as they could, blargh” as response Wonder Woman simply chuckles at your words, it felt nice, great even to do your job, it wasn’t bad, as long as the heroes didn’t start treating you as inferior like that woman behind the counter.

“Alright, I will try not to say that name again, so, have any other idea?”

“Beyond going to the Olympus to investigate there, I think of only one person that can help us find it”
