Arthur nodded almost immediately, only looking not too **** because he'd just busted a nut.

Privaty put in the release code on the pod.

The pod opened with a soft hiss of compressed air escaping, and someone staggered out on unstable footing.

"Careful. Mind your step. You are in the presence of your master."

Privaty said in a surprisingly cold tone while she helped the character stand straight.

"...master...?"

Mirko looked Arthur up and down with a light frown.

Arthur swallowed. Mirko was exactly as he had imagined—tall, built, and voluptuous. The perfect package.

On the other hand, Privaty had a disapproving frown as she leaned next to him and whispered in his ear.

"I see here you didn't sign up for the Obidence Mode to be pre-installed, sir."

"Is that a problem?"

Arthur gulped.

He wasn't exactly "focused" when he made the purchase.

He also vaguely recalled Starfire asking some extra options before finalizing the payment, but he hadn't added any since he'd assumed they were mostly tack-ons to gather more money.

If Mirko were the same as her manga counterpart, having her not obedient felt like a fine way to a disaster.

It didn't happen often, but it was always big news whenever some character went rogue.

Arthur didn't want his first character to get captured and rehabilitated, or worse, executed. Not to mention, it'll draw attention to how he made the purchase in the first place.

Luckily for him, Privaty shook her head. Albeit, she looked very disappointed at him.

"No, there won't be any serious issues.

Every character has a built-in anti-rebellious code implemented into them both physically and mentally, so she won't be hostile unless something breaks her free."

Privaty pointed at Mirko, who was indeed, staying still even while looking very confused and stressed.

"But without an Obidence Mode, she has 100% of her personality intact. She would be harder to control. She will need proper maintenance instead of living off your cum. It's a mess!"

"That's..."

Arthur swallowed the question of whether if the last part was actually possible.

After witnessing all of the technological wonders he had witnessed, Arthur was positive that they could make anything a reality.

"...I can live with that. What should I do with her now?"

Mirko tensed at Arthur's words.

She crossed her arms defensively and took a step back and nearly fell back into the pod. Her long rabbit ears twitched nervously as her red eyes looked around wildly.

"What is this place? Why am I here? I—"

"Oh, for the love of god."

Before Mirko went on a rant, Privaty whipped out a remote and clicked a button.

Immediately, Mirko went stiff. Her fear-riddled eyes went cold and empty like a doll.

"What's this?"

Arthur asked as Privaty handed him the remote.

"It's an Emergency Control Remote. It comes with each character you buy, and it can revert a registered character to their base state."

Privaty waved her hand at Mirko standing stiff like a tree.

"In this state, the character would only respond to your command, but it can only follow simple orders unless you specifically train it in this state, or install extra mods related to it.

I'd suggest that you take the character in this state first, sir.

Or if you want to drag her crying and screaming, there's also a leash as a basic inclusion."

Privaty held up a red dog leash and handed it to Arthur.

Arthur pocketed the leash in his pocket. He didn't want to use it on Mirko...not yet, anyway.

Having been laser-focused on getting a character of his own, Arthur hadn't really considered what he was going to do with it once he got one.

"Follow me."

Arthur said.

Mirko's head moved slightly to the sound of his voice. When Arthur took a step, Mirko took a step in the same direction.

"Alright, this is enough for now."

Privaty let out a small huff as if she was disappointed.

"Very well, sir. Your purchase is complete.

Walking back to his house with Mirko was a weird experience for Arthur.

Mirko followed him exactly six steps behind, making almost no noise and hardly reacting to anything that happened on the road.

Once, a stray soccer ball flew toward her face.

However, Mirko didn't flinch or make any movement to block it until Arthur said "Duck!".

Only after the command was given did she duck at speed to fast that she actually left a slight afterimage in Arthur's eyes.

"Ah...home sweet home..."

Nevertheless, Arthur was glad to be home.

It has only been an hour or two at RealDreams Department Store, but it felt as if he had just returned from a week long trip.

Arthur trudged into his one-room apartment and immediately threw himself on the bed...only to realize that Mirko was standing by the bed motionlessly.

"Right, controls..."

Arthur rummaged through the Basic Package given to him with the purchase of a character.

"A leash, ball gag, a horse whip..."

Arthur frowned as he laid out the packages on his bed. Most of them seemed to be sex toys than anything else.

'...well, I suppose I bought her from what's essentially a sex toy shop.'

After nearly emptying the entire box, Arthur finally found what he was looking for: a manual for the characters.

"Right, let's see..."

Arthur opened the manual on his lap and flipped through the pages until he found a page on the emergency control remote.

"The Emergency Control Remote(E.C.R for short) has four buttons, each with a unique function that comes in handy for the owners!

Blue button: Puts Character into 'Basic Mode'.

In this mode, the Character would stay motionless and passive, only responding to the owner's vocal command.

Be noted that Characters can only follow basic orders in this mode.

Red button: Puts Character into 'Alert Mode'.

In this mode, the Character's ability and loyalty is set to max. They will do everything within their power to take their owner out of imminent danger.

Be noted that this state strains the Character's health.

Yellow button: Puts Character into 'Free Mode'

In this mode, the basic code set on a Character will be reduced down to have mininal effects.

The character would be as close as possible to their original counterpart, including their personalities and abilities.

Green Button: Resets the effect of the E.C.R

Press the green button to remove the effect of the Emergency Control Remote."

Arthur swallowed.

There were some concerning modes available on this remote.

'I should probably keep this in a safe or something after this...'

But first, he needed to lift the Basic Mode off Mirko.

Arthur pointed the remote at Mirko and pressed the green button.
