Chapter 22 by Theothegiant Theothegiant

Lunch with Kylie

I go back to my desk, feeling less guilty and horny, which makes focusing on work a lot easier. I spend the rest of the morning catching up on emails and working on a couple of reports that needed information while I was out sick.

Before I know it, lunchtime arrives and Kylie is standing in my cubicle. She has to clear her throat before I notice her; she has her hand on her hips and is fake pouting as she waits for me to notice her.

I smile and chuckle at her pretend tantrum, “Sorry, Princess Ky,” I say in a bad, fake British accent, “I appear to have made you wait for our afternoon rendezvous.”

Kylie giggles and responds in an equally bad, fake accent, “I guess I can forgive you this one time, Sir Liam.” her voice gets higher and reminds me of the Queen of Hearts from the Alice in Wonderland cartoon. “But next time, Off With Your Head!”

We both break into a fit of giggles about how ridiculous we sound. “Shall we go to the cafeteria?” I keep the accent and extend my arm for her to grasp like we are high school prom dates or something.

“Oh my Romeo, you always take me to the most romantic places,” she says, her accent becoming more Cockney. She grabs my arm, and we walk to the elevator, chatting and giggling like silly children.

During lunch, Kylie gets more serious. She has been working on a big presentation for a bigger client and needs some help getting data and buttoning it up. I can tell that she is nervous and stressed. The presentation is tomorrow afternoon, and she is pretty behind.

“I know you have been sick, but would you feel up to staying late with me tonight and helping me finish it?” She asks me with a plea in her voice.

“The last bus leaves at 5:30...”

“I can give you a ride home,” she interrupts me. “I will even DoorDash Chinese food for dinner.”

“Ok, ok,” I say, chuckling a little bit, “You can stop twisting my arm. I will stay and help you. I will just need to call Sarah and let her know.”

Kylie looks like she frowns a little at the mention of my fiancé. “Great, thank you so much.”

Something seems off; she has stopped joking around and is just concentrating on eating her food. She must just be ready to get back to work. She probably wants to get a lot of the presentation done, so we won't have to stay too late.

We both finish our lunch, and I make a quick call home to let Sarah know that I will be late. The phone rings several times before it is picked up, and I am surprised to hear Mr. Robinson on the other side.

“What is going on, kiddo?”

“Oh, hey Mr. Robinson.” I stammer, not expecting him to answer, and I stumble over my words a little. “I was calling to talk with Sarah really quick.”

“She has her hands full at the moment,” he chuckles. “I can give her a message, though.”

I hear the noise over the phone; it sounds like someone is gagging or plunging the toilet. “He must be showing her how to fix the guest room toilet.” I think to myself and I am just glad that my favorite teacher has taken such a shine to my fiance and is showing her all this new stuff.

“I was just going to tell her that I will be late tonight. I am helping Kylie finish a presentation, so I will already have dinner when I get home.” I tell him.

“Great, my boy,” he says with excitement in his voice. “That kind of work ethic and dedication is why I like you so much.”

I beam with pride at his approval.

“No! Don't stop! Go Faster and Deeper!” He says loudly to Sarah,

I hear a loud smack and a whimper. She must be doing something wrong and he had to take over the plunging. The sound gets faster and louder as he works to clear the clog.

“There you go,” he grunts in satisfaction; he must have gotten the clog fixed. “Take it all.”

“Sounds like you two are busy, but don't work too hard. You two have fun.” I tell him.

“Oh, I am sure that we will find lots of ways to stay entertained.” He says there is another loud smack and a whimper.

Before he hangs up, I hear him say to Sarah, “Looks like it's just you and me for dinner and dessert, Ginger Tits. I think it's time for us to go down the Hershey Highway.”

Mr. Robinson really likes his desserts, I think to myself.

I hear Sarah whimper, and it sounds like she is crying a little. I feel bad that she misses me so much, but at least Mr. Robinson will keep her company while I am at work.
