Chapter 17

Should you listen to this woman?
Don’t trust her
You step away from the creature claiming to be you and draw your sword.
“What you are talking about should require a potent enchantment," you tell your duplicate. "I sense no enchantment at all. You are no conscience of mine.”
Your twin sighs and shakes her head.
“This could have been a lot easier if you just chose to trust me, you know," says the duplicate. “But I care for you and I will not give up on you so easily.”
She then draws her own version of Saint Magdalena’s sword and copies your stance. The two of you stare each other down. You try to find a hole in her defenses. Maybe she is doing the same thing, or perhaps she is just waiting for you to strike first.
Preparing to do battle with yourself is extremely disconcerting. You wonder if she might be some evil spirit and then you remember a creature of flesh and blood described in one of your classes at the abbey. It took the shape of its victims, sometimes even taking over their lives. You remember the creature's name.
"Doppelganger," you hiss.
Your twin smiles and says, “So you know of my kind. Then you must know it is impossible for you to win.”
Doppelgangers are not daemons. They are a race of shape shifters, supposedly created by a powerful wizard. The wizard who made them is long dead, but his creations still stalk the world.
There are limits to their shape changing ability however. Most notably, they can only assume the shape of someone they meet. They mainly use this skill to take the place of a wealthy merchant or powerful lord. It makes no sense for one of them to want to take your place. With the exception of Saint Magdalena's sword, you have nothing of value.
“Stop this,” you tell the doppelganger. “I have nothing of value, there is no reason for you to do this.”
Rather than abandon the fight, the doppelganger asks, “Do you know how many doppelgangers there are?”
You have no idea how to answer her question, so you remain silent and at guard.
“I don’t know either,” continues the doppelganger. “It’s been a very long time since I last met one of my kind. I assume there are very few of my people left. So I decided to help bring some more of them into this world.”
This creature is making no sense whatsoever. Aside from changing their shape, doppelgangers have no magical abilities. How would she even be able to make new doppelgangers and how would taking your shape accomplish that?
“Which reminds me.” She says, interrupting your train of thoughts. “Now that you know what I am, this body will no longer do.”
You blink but once, yet that is all the time it takes for her to change her body. Her hair still has the same color, her eyes and skin are the same hue, but her features are now markedly masculine. Gone are her breasts, receding into the chiseled muscles of her torso. Her hips lose their roundness. A thick cock sprouts from where her quim - your quim - was a moment before. The creature's wardrobe remains unchanged.
In the past, you have wondered how you would have looked like if you had been born a man. Well, apparently this is how, and you have to admit, you look kind of handsome.
“So then,” The doppelganger says with a now deeper, masculine voice. “Why don’t you make this quick and spread your legs so I can do what needs to be done and a stuff a baby into you.”
Do you let the doppelganger have his way with you?
