You kill a day waiting for the hacker. You buy food and other comforts for your reunion. She may be here for work, but a conversation and a meal come standard with hiring a friend. You try to avoid the robots' cold, vacant stares as they idle in your house. They're still on, but without their personality AI, they move in nonsensical ways to fulfill whatever subroutine keeps them active. You keep your documents locked away, suspicious of their gaze.

Fortunately, your hacker arrives before full paranoia can set in. You invite her to snack on cheese and crackers and catch up, but the conversation doesn't last long under the unblinking eyes of the cartoon dolls. It's probably you; she's a professional, so she's probably used to creepy robots. Either way, she decides to start working, taking Starfire into the bedroom while you keep the goths out of her hair. With machines as complex as these, you wonder if your friend can rise to the challenge.
