Family Movie Night

The traffic finally cleared up - well, by LA standards, anyhow - and the family took only several minutes to get back home, Sita being grateful for her parents' apparently not noticing her getup as she rushed back inside the house to get dressed.

And good thing, too, since tonight was family movie night! Sita blushed at the idea of having to spend all evening with her family dressed in nothing but a Hot Wheels t-shirt as she went into her room and got dressed in a hoodie and basketball shorts. This (well, and the undies she wore under them) was a familiar outfit for her to make her look bigger, and it sort of worked on the top half but only served to accentuate her chicken legs below.

Good for Sita, too, since Vivek had decided to do a Barbieheimer-style double header for the family. The first film would be the ever so family-friendly Come and See for the shot, and K-Pop Demon Hunters for the chaser. Nobody was all that interested in the first film but Vivek, but the women tolerated it for his sake in order to see the latest hit they had heard was all the rage.

Sita hoped to sit by herself, but came down into the living room to see the only spot available on the couch in between her two sisters, who patted the seat down with their Cheshire grins as Sita moaned. She sat down and noticed Fatima holding a green bowl of popcorn.

"You should eat this ... really, you need to," she cattily handed Sita the bowl as Vivek turned the lights off and started the movie.

Sita soon recognized the power of Fatima's words as she started mindlessly munching on the popcorn, even as her appetite was reduced by the Third Reich's "living off the land" and "sexual conscription" on the Eastern Front.

Eventually, after what seemed like an eternity, the movie ended and the lights turned back on for an intermission as the family gasped.
