Accept it, screw moral

You hold her gaze, the last of your hesitation evaporating. "Tonight," you say, your voice firm and devoid of the stuttering uncertainty you had moments ago. "Yes. Let's do it."

Kurenai’s eyes widen slightly, a flash of genuine spark igniting in those crimson depths. She hadn't expected you to find your resolve so quickly. "The training trip does you good, it seems," she observes.

"You know more than I do that hesitating is seconds later failure," you say while looking looking her appreciatively. "Some may say I don't think much, but maybe that's how to live life.

A slow smile spread across her face; Kurenai seem to like your answer, how you didn't even blink.

"Good," she whispers, her hand sliding up from your chest to rest momentarily against the heat of your neck. "Maybe that's how it's supposed to be. I want to feel something real tonight."

She pulls back just enough to create a sliver of space, though the air between you remains electric. She glances toward the village lights beginning to flicker on in the distance, then back at you.

"My apartment," she says, her voice low and commanding. "It’s discreet enough. Come in two hours time to prepare."

She turns to leave, but pauses, looking over her shoulder with a playful, dangerous glint in her eyes. "Don't be late, Naruto."

With a flicker of movement, she’s gone, leaving you standing alone by the gravestones. The silence of the cemetery returns, but your arousal is still making itself felt. Kurenai was still there when she saw it, and she reveled in how she's making you uncomfortable.
