His Wife, Padme

… Padme.

The tied up hair and slender body of his wife, clad in the same clothes she’d been wearing when they’d been captured at the start of the Clone Wars on Geonosis. It felt so long ago when he’d seen her like that, even if they had been in mortal danger his mind still couldn’t help but think how good she looked…

Suddenly, the mirror flashed with light, forcing Anakin to cover his eyes or risk going blind from the sheer radiance of it. His world stayed dark for a few moments before he could see again, and when he looked up he looked into the mirror and once again saw his own reflection looking back at him. Just how much had he missed Padme that he saw her there?

“Anakin?! What in the ****?!” Obi-Wans voice called out, and Anakin turned to see him.

“What’s wrong Master?” Anakin replied, however it wasn’t his voice that said the words…

_What the… _Anakin thought before he felt at his throat, and felt his fingers touch at his neck… his bare fingers. His hand was not gloved, and when he looked it was not robotic either. It was also not his hand.

“What in the..?!” Anakin exclaimed as he looked down and inspected himself… but only found the body of his wife to meet his eyes.

“Padme? Is that you? What…?” Obi-Wan inquired with clear confusion, but Anakin stomped and leaned forward.

“No! It’s me! It’s Anakin! That mirror suddenly flashed with light and then…” Anakin started to explain, gesturing to the mirror he’d been looking at, causing Obi-Wan to glance over… and then he paused.

“Satine?…” Obi-Wan whispered out of his lips, seemingly entranced by what he was seeing.

Anakins eyes, replaced by Padmes, widened as he realized what was happening.

“Obi-Wan no! Don’t look at it!”
