John: Of course. I just figured someone with your standards would explain things… properly.

Sophia: My standards?

John: Well, you know, you're top of the class.

Sophia: Yeah, no thanks to my family. I had to put in the efforts. Do you know how hard it is to study in a house with your mama, two hermanas, three tias and five primas? But why should I accept to tutor you, though?

John: I mean, look, I’m managing, technically. It’s just… I’m one bad test away from things getting complicated, and I really don’t want to disappoint Ms Ren. You’re my smartest option. Totally fine if the answer’s no. I just thought I should at least try.
