A "Walk" Home

I feel my body tense as I look at Electra who is wearing a smug smile, "Really, a fun part? The court etiquette lesson was not enough!"

Her grin widens, "Yeah you get to guide us home."

"Fine, at least this is almost over." I resignedly turn and start to walk back the way we came. The path is relatively clear and I'm puzzled by Electra's excitement as I start to lead us home. A few minutes of silence pass then I hear, "Well you're not hopeless, but you need a lot of work."

"I'm on the trail, aren't I?" I snap back at her.

She muffles a laugh, "Oh, you thought this was about navigation? Bah, you have Nadya for that traditional hunting stuff."

I stop and turn to face Electra, "Really, what is this about then?"

Electra raises an eyebrow, "Social lessons."

I laugh, "How is navigating quietly through the woods a social lesson?"

"Well... It's not what you do... it's the way that you do it. Your walk leaves something to be desired." Electra responds.

"My walk, I'm silent like I learned from Nadya. What is wrong with that?", I question.

Electra walks over and touches my shoulders, "You have good posture and you hold your... chest out well. But everything else is a mess."

"Everything else? What else is there?"

Exasperatedly Electra responds, "We are hunters, we do not limit ourselves to just hunting game. We hunt in all situations, social, academic and in the primal ways you've learned from Nadya. And as a social hunter, that walk is not good enough for your current form. You walk like you still had your old body."

"What's wrong with that?" I ask.

"Men walk in a manner that focuses attention to their chests, and while you do have a nice chest... you're leaving half of you assets on the table. Watch me." Electra walks forward with her chest out and I fight the urge to ogle her.

"Good, that was how you walked. I appreciate your decorum", she says winking at me. "Now watch how I walk when on the 'hunt'".

She starts to walk towards me, her chest still out but now her waist shifts side to side. The angle of her stride shows off her slender legs and the movements of her arms seem to highlight her curves. I take in a small breath and look for a safe place to place my eyes shifting my gaze to her face. It's a mistake, her eyes are smoldering and she bites her lip in a teasing manner as she approaches. I feel my face flush as I look away.

In a sultry voice, Electra says, "I think you understand now, don't you?" I nod as her voice shifts back to that of an instructor, "Good, now lead the way."

I start to walk doing my best to copy Electra's demonstration. The exaggerated motions feel unnatural and I feel as though I am on the edge of tripping. I hear a mocking voice from behind me, "Good, yes, like that. She'd be proud of you."

Those last words, 'she'd be proud of you' hit me in the gut. What if this were to win Nadya's attention? This awkwardness... it’s about us. How can I be my full self for me or her if I hold my feelings up in my movements. I let out a breath and let my longing for Nadya guide my movements. I start to mirror memories of our intimate motions in the sway of my hips. Nadya's caresses guide the movements of my arms. Her sweet voice singing or calling my name lights a fire in my eyes. The walk slowly morphs into a sensual dance and I find myself enjoying pushing steps. At one point I swear I hear a stumble behind me. The rest of the walk is otherwise silent. When we arrive back at Nadya's Hut, Nadya greets us outside with an appreciative smile, "Well, well, well, looks like someone's hot to go".

I turn around and give a slightly red-faced Electra a wink, "Well, I had a good teacher."
