Pissed

I couldn't quite tell you why I cared as much as I did. Maybe it was the way Robert seemed to be drunkenly rubbing it in our faces. Maybe it was Scott not telling me that they knew. Or even how they knew. Maybe I was still a bit tired and cranky from the lack of sleep. Maybe it was a combination of all of those things. Whatever it was, I was not happy.

Scott went to say something but I just got up and left, storming right past the pool into our room. I didn't even bother drying off. I just trailed hot tub water through the room and into the bathroom as I started up the shower.

I heard the room door open as I found myself in the shower, bathing suit still on, wondering why exactly I had just stormed off.

Fuck Robert, I thought. Well, not "fuck Robert" in a way that I don't like him, more just that I don't care what he thinks. Why would I? He was just being a drunk idiot. He's a fun guy and actually super nice, but he likes to stir the pot and he clearly had too much to drink.

The bathroom door opened and Scott peeked in.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"Why did you tell them?"

"I didn't."

"Then how did they find out?" My tone was more frustrated than I intended.

"They saw me last night," Scott replied. "Leaving Dora's room. They were in the hot tub. Depending on how long they were there, they may have seen Manny leave our room too."

"Did they say anything?"

"Robert made some dumb comment. 'Nice night', or whatever. I don't even remember to be honest. I just hurried back into our room."

"Why didn't you tell me?" My head was still under the faucet, water cascading down my long, brown hair.

"Honestly, I forgot," Scott said. "I would have told you but you were in the shower when I got back, and when you got out of the shower, well, you distracted me a bit with your sexy, naked body." I couldn't help but blush because I knew it was true. "Then, this morning, I was just trying to get you something to eat and then you started going down on me, there was a whole lot of reasons I forgot to bring it up."

He paused, waiting for me to respond but when I didn't he said, "I'm sorry."

I turned the shower off.
