Single Mother Summer AU

Things have not been easy for Summer, when Tai died to make sure she could get away from that ambush it hurt her badly. It hurt even more having to explain to her little girls that their daddy was not coming home. She had to step back from being a huntress and took work helping to teach at signal academy, Oz wasn't too happy of course, but he understood why. Qrow helped as much as he could, even if Summer thought his excuse of bad luck fell flat, he became a great uncle to the girls and even helped her little Ruby find her weapon (She groaned playfully about ANOTHER SCYTHE.)

The years went by, they got Zwei, and while it still hurt to think about Tai at times she helped the girls by being super mom. She was prepped for Yang to go to Beacon but hearing Ruby get in early shocked her. She knew that Oz was trying to get another Silver Eyed Warrior to help after she stepped back, but she knew Ruby wanted to be a Huntress and couldn't take that from her. Now with the kids gone to Beacon though she truly felt the emptiness in her that Tai filled, she didn't know what to do but she knew something needed to change in her life. The real question was what she should do to fill all the free time she has now?
