Chapter 10 by clockworkoj clockworkoj

Finalization of your order

Rain on the parade

The last part of the order was the hardest by far. Deciding where you and Raven would meet, and if you would have an encounter with her or not. You couldn't really afford to have a flashy and drawn out encounter, it wasn't the money. Lord knows you had enough. Nor was it the potential backlash you could face in the public light if certain parties found out you where spending your money in such a way. (Not that you really gave a damn to tell the truth.)

No, your problem stemmed from the growing aversion to people in general. Inheriting your fortune at such a young age coupled with the fact you had no real living family really ruined any chances of you being a 'people person', which could be the reason why you gravitated towards Raven.

"Huuh...." Sighing softly you sent a leer to the obvious guards 'hiding' around you. You argued for hours with Mr. Fox, your family's security head to be allowed to do this alone. Of course he wouldn't budge, Mr. fox did how ever compromise on the location of your guards. Fat lot of good that did. Walking into the used bookshop you had decided to purchase for this encounter, you gave one last nervous gulp before steeling yourself for the long road ahead.

The aisles where dark, musty and narrow. Books where on the floor, the shelves, and some sat on top of the book shelves themselves. The faint smell of dust and mold filled the room and the quiet sound of muffled foot falls came from somewhere around the store. "Excuse me...I wanted to see that." Long dainty fingers gently brushed against yours as you blindly reached for a random tome.

"Oh, um....s-sorry.." Looking to your side you spotted a petite cloaked form, half of a soft feminine face with plump full lips a tapered and dainty chin with soft and smooth looking grey skin peaked out from a dark vermillion cloak hood. Feathery, soft hair that seemed to almost glow a beautiful shade of purple framed what you could see of her face. It just made her look gorgeous. You could just barely see her eyes from under the hem of her hood. Baggy, heavy lidded and kind of dull looking, not the stupid type of dull, but the bored of everything type. Like just leaving her house was annoying to her. It fit her form perfectly.

Your breath hitched in your throat as you caught site of just how beautiful her eyes where. They seemed to glow, The hidden sense of power they held was absolutely breath taking. "I don't like being stared at.." She took a step back, pulling her cloak tight against herself as she glared at me slightly. "What do you want?"

QUICK! Thing of something!
