Chapter 2 by The-ALL-ANON The-ALL-ANON

So where and how do you start

To Walk the Path of Light, Dark, and Everything In Between

(AN: My wife is instead called Zynthia instead of Melissa, for personal reasons.)

I sat with my beautiful Wife, Zynthia, as well as with our girlfriends and off-duty maids, eating dinner made by our wonderous on-duty maids, and talking about this and that, when all of a sudden, the world seemed to blur and twist together in nauseating ways, and then I appeared on what supposedly was a beach. The instant shift and silence was jarring, and it took a few minutes for me to notice that I was standing and could move. It then took a few more seconds to move towards the only thing there, as though I was a moth and the object was a light. A wooden chest sat innocently before me. I reached towards it, ready to jump away if it was a trap, an instinct that I had no idea where it came from. Yet nothing happened nor was anything triggered, so I rest my hand on it. There was something etched onto the wood, a name, Cheater's Chest. I guess that proves this isn't a dream, as supposedly you can't read anything while you're dreaming. I slowly opened the lid and whatever ill omen my gut instinct sensed didn't come. Within was a variety of items and a list. The list detailed the items inside and seemed to be addressed to me, but used a variety of different titles.

For the inheritor of the mantle of The Deluge and of the seventh spot of the Vixen Master Association.

Destined Warden of the Nederbas Hotel.

Destined Change-Fulcrum of a Primordial Goddess.

Supreme Summoner.

One of the Lost.

Obsession of a Outer Goddess and the Queen of the Prurient Realm.

Hunter of M.I.L.F.s.

He who is The Glow and who became known as The Progenitor.

The Lightbringer who has been extended the protections of the Heavens.

The High God of Sex.

The Last of the Lunarians.

The descendant of an Eldritch bloodline.

The new Avatar of a vv#An.

The reincarnation of the Greatest Exorcist upon Earth and of the Phoenix King.

He Whose Alchemized Soul is Pure and Perfect and Iridescent.

Glorious King of Niirtain.

The Wonderous Husband of the Archdemon of Corruption.

I blinked at the words. I had no context or clues for most of the things mentioned in the note, though I know for a fact that I was not, nor ever was, an exorcist, much less the best one. Nor was I ever a 'Milf hunter', or a God of Sex, or a King, and what the actual fuck is a vv#An? As for the Husband part, I-I thought I had only been married to Zynthia, yet seeing the last one made me think of Rebeza, who I once thought was merely a wonderous dream. What-what is happening, what is this? I then belatedly noticed that I was naked, and somehow, that felt right.

I read the list below my... titles, and realized there was notes beside each numbered item, a description I believe.

  1. Magic Pencil: This Pencil can write/draw on any surface, in any color you can imagine. It can also mimic other art supplies beside graphite, like paint or chalk, and can erase them too.
  2. Dice of Fate: These Dice is able to alter probability. If something has a 50/50 chance of happening, simply roll a 51 or above on a percentage die and your desired outcome will occur. You may choose to roll any number desired, on a set of dice without changing probability, with no chance of being caught cheating.
  3. Handy Haversack: This Haversack is bigger on the inside, and can hold an infinite number of items. It also can turn into any form of apparel meant to hold things, like a fannypack or a messenger bag. You can even summon things from inside without wearing it on your person, though you're limited to summoning one item at a time. Can be stored within your soul and all its abilities will still apply.
  4. Chains of Olympus: A divine necklace that grants the wearer enhanced physical and magical abilities, up to twice as much as normal. Despite their size, these chains are nigh unbreakable, and can lengthen at will to be used as a thin rope. Anyone bound in this state will not gain the enhancement and will require assistance to escape. The chains can be moved telepathically by the owner.
  5. Family Artifacts: A collection of books and manuscripts that is accompanied by a Life-like Doll. A note is left inside to explain the secret of Steele family.
  6. Eldritch **** Market Payment: A Check of ### that repays you for the lost of your personal belongings, Namely: 27 quarters, 56 dimes and 128 pennies valued at 13,630###, Seven keys valued at 7,000###, Any and All Human Food within your House and Vacation Home valued at 2.6 million###, 2 Suitcases, 1 backpacks, and 1 wallet valued at 300,000###, Three pairs of Shoes valued at 30,000###, and 1 Wristwatch valued at 100,000# for a combined sum of 3,050,630###. This Check also allows the nearest Eldritch Market to spawn wherever you are.
  7. Mirror of Thyself: An always-updating piece of indestructible paper that will show the nature and powers of the owner. It can be shifted into other forms, like a pyramid prism which will project the information. Any information shown can only be perceived by the owner.
  8. The Prison of Fae: A golden statue of a fox-girl. It possesses a soul fragment of a great 9-tailed kitsune. Once held and her name spoken, shall bind the fragment to the one who spoke her name, and seeing such a person as her master. The soul shard inside is Fae, the 'goodness' of the 9-tailed kitsune.
  9. Fully Formed Gestalt Core: The Core of a Gestalt entity that identifies as Female. It was sent as a gift to you from an interested party. It's spiritual makeup could allow it to grow further, but only under specific conditions.
  10. Harem Homing Compass: A intricate compass that will lead to harems with no master, or women who is perfect for harem life. It will give an instinctive warning to the owner of the compass, of the dangers in the way of getting to the harem or women. It will only give the most direct route and will not elaborate on what the threat is, only how great it is in comparison to the owner's strength.
  11. Tome of Artifacts: An ancient book that possesses a list of artifacts of note to the user. This list includes all types of artifacts, including weapons, clothes, potions, etc.
  12. Shendu Talisman of the Ox: An amulet that grants Super Strength and Durability akin to a whole herd of Oxen. The fourth Talisman in a set of twelve.
  13. Icons of Cu, Ag, and Au: Small iridescent balls which grant the owner the ability to form, reshape, and manipulate Copper. Silver, and Gold. Able to use them even from a distance, yet its powers are greatest the closer the balls are. Can work on compound alloys which possess said materials.
  14. Pendant of Sloth: Relic of Laziness, Entertainment, and Apathy. While wearing the pendant, you gain an aura of Relaxation. Small things don't stress you out as much and others find comfort being near you. Big issues and problems will still have the same impact, and will not be dulled. You gain the social power of Disarm, which allows you to use calming words and actions to calm down and deescalate any situation, even with an insane gun man, yet others might be too far gone to be pacified. Finally, you gain the Mystical power of Vision. Whenever you are in a relaxed state, you may open your mind of visions of the future and the past, though only visions that relate to you. You no longer need sleep, as your waking hours are your rest between prophetic visions
  15. Pill of Beside yourself: Given to you by a concerned citizen to help with the overwhelming problems in your future. Take as soon as possible to began to deal with all your problems.
  16. Jar of Mind Worm Juice: A soothing drink from a giver of gifts. It will give powerful magics to the one who drinks it. It also tastes like grapes, well the essence of grapes at least.
  17. Trinity of Deities Calling Card: A simple black and white card on one side, and a red and black card on the other. Proclaiming the desire for protection and power will call forth the Three Goddesses of Mythical Soul Forging, who will repay a favor they owe to the Deluge. One shall craft a weapon best suited to your fighting style, and the other two will make a weapon best suited to your soul. Two of the Weapons will naturally be sentient and capable of becoming women.
  18. 'The Fool' Tarot Card: 1 out 77 Mythical Tarot Card made by an ancient deity. This one is always meant for The Glow, a gift the Ancient deity gave to it as a reward for services rendered. As The Glow, you can gain the benefits of both the Upright and Reversed of any Tarot cards you possess.
  19. The Rose Spellbook: Written by Archmage Leximos, within lies the knowledge to a great deal of magic that Leximos created. As the owner, you can decide if another person can comprehend what is written inside.
  20. The Ultimate Grimoire: An ancient Tome of forgotten magics, forbidden knowledge, and terrible secrets that waits for you to open it. It is semi-alive and semi-self aware.
  21. Vessel of Magic Power: A Magic Tome given to you so that you may spread the wonders of Magic. As the Keeper, you may not gain the powers it gives.
  22. Ring of the Breeder: A golden size-changing, self-cleaning cock-ring that enables Mana Pregnancy. The exact effects of Mana Pregnancy can be decided upon conception.
  23. Consumable Crystal of The Glow: A gently glowing crystal that possesses the base magical abilities that all wielders of The Glow has possessed. Formed long ago by a former wielder, it is made to help The Glow defend themselves. (AN: It will give the magics of the Wizard's Apprentice CYOA).
  24. Alchemist God's Shard: Randomly sent by a fragmentated Light and Dark God, to spread its wonderous power as far as possible. Letting the Shard settle within your soul shall grant wonderous Alchemical powers.
  25. The Celestial Crest: A powerful divine relic that, when worn, grants the bearer a brief surge of ethereal energy, offering heightened protection against magical attacks. After usage, the bearer shall feel a temporary weakness, making them susceptible to physical exhaustion.
  26. Hopeful Icon: When activated, a shimmering dome appears, repelling incoming attacks and granting focus. Too many uses in too short of a timeframe, causes the user to become less and less focus outside of the dome.
  27. White Wings: Once per day, the user can summon ethereal wings that are capable of allowing flight. Additionally, they can be wrapped around the user to increase healing and recovery. The wings act like any part of your body, without their own sources of strain. Thus they put extra strain on the body with their use. The recovery only uses calories.
  28. Seraphic Aegis: Able to manifest into a full suit of white-gold armor that protects better than full plate or Kevlar. In addition, it allows the summoning of a series of light ribbons for wings, with the color of the ribbons varying based on emotions. Even without wearing the suit or wings, you cannot be distracted from your focus and can heal slightly faster. The healing is increased based on light exposure. The negative effects of The Celestial Crest, Hopeful Icon, and White Wings are negated.
  29. The Rune-etched Needle: When attuned to a specific magical source, the Rune-etched Needle vibrates and points towards its location, providing a clear sense of direction. Though the process of attuning the needle to a new source requires a significant amount of the user's mental focus and can cause temporary disorientation.
  30. Bezel of Vision: The Sigil-etched Bezel enhances the user's perception of magical auras, allowing them to discern the strength and type of nearby magical energies. Prolonged use of the Sigil-etched Bezel can lead to sensory overload, and causing a form of magical and mundane synthesia.
  31. Spell Thief's Chains: The user can store magical energy or even spells within the chain. One per link, with 100 links in the chain. This energy can be removed but only to be used in a stored spell. Spells can be removed with an appropriate target. The Chain gets heavier with each full link which scales to it's holder to reduce their overall speed by 1%. This can act as training.
  32. The Arcane Compass: While holding the compass, the wielder can see magic and the flows of mana, and can focus the needle to any flow you can see or remember. In addition, the Compass can store up magic or mana within itself, up to a point. When full of mana, it can open up gateways between Earth and Inverse.
  33. Marriage Ring: The golden ring which possesses a pair of diamonds, one clear and one red, that Rebeza gave you for your marriage. It still possesses all the powers it once did, yet it now makes the owner remember all that has been forgotten, both willingly and ****.
  34. Glyph of the Astral Gate: Holding this glowing gift shall make the bearer into the new user of the Astral Gate power. One out of eleven Great Marks that can be found. Defeating another bearer of a Great Mark, shall let you gain more Marks.
  35. A non-descript Package: An Odd Package sent by a semi-divine entity which contains Arcane Instruments.
  36. An Important Note: A note made on weird paper by a concerned 'citizen', the same person who sent the pills. It details where Melissa has gone and the choices she has made.

Amongst the large list of items, I immediately grabbed the note about Zynthia. Forgotten dream wife and immense powers might be tempting, yet I have known Zynthia for a very long time. I love her and wanted to make sure she is safe. Opening the note revealed a lot of things. To start, Zynthia was taken because I was taken, supposedly the wife of The Glow was deserving of her own... CYOA as the note said. I had no idea what that meant, though from the context, I would assume a CYOA is an event where someone gets powers and/or gifts. Said CYOA was actually a meeting with a genie that will fulfill three wishes for her.

One was for fertility, not surprising with how obsessive her breeding kink is. I smiled, now all those nights where I had to comfort her over the sadness of an empty house is over. I was always so frustrated, at the feeling of helplessness, of being unable to make my wife truly happy, as a real man should do, just because of some fucked up bullshit that Life shoveled on us.

The second wish made me laugh. She wished to become a superheroine, and such a wish brought to my mind, all the roleplaying we did. Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Mirko, and basically any other female heroes, and even some genderbent male heroes too. While she was usually the sub, when she dresses up, all of a sudden she became a Dom, which was almost as good as when she subs. I was a little confuse at the end of the note on the wish that said her powers were akin to someone named Tomoko Sakurai. Obviously a Asian name, though I don't know any Asian superhero by that name.

Her third wish was obvious if you knew her. She was kind and compassionate to a fault and would no doubt help everyone if she could. That she wishes for the genie to be free and to find love should not surprise anyone. What is surprising, is that her love for me compelled the genie to want to join our relationship. I know that Zynthia wouldn't mind, as her cuckqueans' fantasy was **** enough that even a strange magical being wanting her husband doesn't bother her. The note said that the genie is mostly curious about who could earn such love and devotion from Zynthia, and is mostly just subservient to her and loves her, though the genie is not against loving me. Regardless of loving me or not, she will be just as obedient to me as she is to Zynthia. I couldn't wait to see my wife again and meet her new friend, especially as her new friend will be just as super as my wife.

The last of part of the note set my veins on fire. The reason the note was sent at all, was because Zynthia and her genie was interrupted on their way to me. Their souls have been snatched by something called 'The Collector'. Made by The Ancient Race, whatever that meant. The Collector finds unique souls and puts them within his vaults, making them go through simulations after simulations without aging. I was assured that nothing sexual would be **** on them, yet that didn't really stop me from being PISSED THAT SOMEONE TOOK MY WIFE! All the note said, was that the best way to find my wife on some planet called Ruyanei, was to find the Ancient Dungeon Core, and have her tell me the location of The Collector. All these names were etched into my very brain, for I will stop at nothing to get Zynthia safe and sound. The pills this 'concerned citizen' sent me was supposedly meant to greatly help me get her.

I clenched my fist that wasn't holding the note, and made a vow to myself to make The Collector pay, and to mock his dumbass name! Out of nowhere, the Chains of Olympus jumped towards me, scaring the shit out of me. I frantically waved the arm that the chains coiled around, yet stopped when nothing happened. I slowly calmed down, and then noticed that something was happening within the chest. All the items were rapidly being sucked into the Haversack. I didn't even had time to wonder what was happening, before the Haversack jumped at me. I was starting to get annoyed at flying objects.

It clanged to me, forming into a fannypack. I was not particularly enthused at the idea of wearing it and remembered that it can just 'merge' with me. At this point, nothing can be too weird so I just... asked it to do so. It was a... unique experience to feel it merge with my soul and to see the seemingly normal fannypack slowly melt into my skin. I felt a burning sensation on my arm with the chain and saw said chain melting into a tattoo version of itself, it actually looked pretty good, not going to lie.

With my Haversack and Chains settled, I began to think of where to begin.

And I was drowning in options.
