Arc 4: Weakness

It was quite the trip on the moving train! I don't like trains when I am alone but with people it makes me feel relax but this ammount of people was a lot, some of class 3-b others of 3-a I was getting nerovus. In front of me there was Setsuna who couldn't stop staring at me making me even more nervous as I knew how intense she was when it came to sex, if not for the fact she might be having a bit of a crush on me and shutting her down so far has not worked, Mina who was 3 seats away to the right smiling at me, the reason, Momo was on my left speaking to me while Ochaco was on the right, it was a bit overwhelming, maybe I should tone down the have sex with other people, even if they ask.

However on the other hand I was seeing new people, never talked with Tokoyami nor Sato, also Yosetsu and Yui, new people I haven't seen before, Yui had a similar look to Momo and similar color palette in her hero suit, she was like a more serious quiet Momo... Maybe if I want to tone down banging other people I shouldn't think of them as my girlfriends but acting different, yeah that's a good idea.

I tried to stay quiet looking down at the ground not trying to be embarrassed, impressively I was able to convince Momo to let me bring the costume as well, even if she was very very against it.

Once we arrived at Deika cityI gave it a good look it was interesting seeing a whole city being rebuilt, there weren't any tall buildings or towers nor anything like skyscrapers, it was just lots and lots of structures framed but no filling being done. It looked almost pretty, seeing all these houses being built, picturing what they could become one day, all the houses that will fill the empty streets and all the people that will be living there, I could almost see the spaces where malls, towers and other important places where, it was almost nostalgic, I remember when I was living at Nemo still seeing so many buildings being made up and I always walked next to them on my way to school to see the progress.

"Alright let's get down there and get to it." I said to myself as Momo overheard me and smile patting my back.

Location: Construction Zone, New Deika City

A fox person was speaking to us about the construction and how we were going to help, apparently some of class B and class A had done this before so they didn't need any introductions nor explanation on how to help around the city.

"Alright everyone gather up, we will let some of you help us with the construction but do not worry its not going to be very complicated stuff, you will have supervisors around you all the time and most of the things you will do is carry stuff left and right, helping builders with tools or hold their stuff, perhaps take things from one place to another, overall you won't be handling construction, that will be left to the workers and the company, any questions?"

I raised my hand "What if I want to work on construction"

"Do you have any experience"

"I have legal approval and specifications about my quirk from Nemo that I am allowed to share in case of construction and medical situations, its just a fancy way of saying that I can use my quirk for it"

"Hmmmmmmmmm, I would rather if not if I am honest, I was expecting you to say you don't have experience" I frowned and felt down as he said that

"Oh oooOokay then" He looked at me with a bit of a pitiful look after I looked sad

"Maybe just let me give it a read if you have the documents on you"

"I do, I am not allowed to go to hero work without them" Momo who was also on the introduction even though she didn't need to, she was just making me company, approached to talk with me.

"You are not allowed?"

"Nemo rules, we cannot use our quirks for anything that we are not legally authorized at international levels, doing so without proper permission could end up with a lawsuit so to avoid that we have special permissions, we tend to operate OUTSIDE of Nemo, so we want to avoid any legal problems with authorities from another country" Momo's eyes widen up.

"Woah that actually sounds responsible"

"Yeah, I am allowed to work on construction zones and medical fields"

"How do you work in medical fields"

"Patch up wounds, stop bleedings and fix bones"

"I thought you said that was hard for you"

"It varies to certain degrees and situations, its hard but it can also be-"

"Excuse me?" The fox person said with an annoyed look "Am I interrupting"

We both bowed apologizing "Sorry sir, continue"

"No its okay that's pretty much it, now Miss Hayaki here will be your supervisor" A lady that seemed to be an heteromorph but I couldn't tell if she was supposed to be some sort coral or snail, it looked like her skin was made out of shell she lacked eyes but she could see, it was an odd look but who am I to judge.

"Alright newbie! Let's get to it"

"Yes ma'am" I saluted her and followed her "Talk later Momo"

And we got started, getting to work, I was **** to walk all over the place carrying stuff and helping the construction workers in mundane tasks, handing tools, holding things and right now the hardest work that I was given so far was to carry a steel beam for them which honestly was a bit tiring since I had to put extra effort on my muscles to carry it easily.

"You sure you got the beam kid?"

"I have it ma'am, just not a super strength quirk so I am not used to this type of weight"

Once we arrived to the site I let down the beam carefully "Do you need me to place it somewhere?"

"No kid, its fine there, how about something easy right now, one of the workers is currently up there" He pointed at some beams as the worker was placing some concrete to make a wall. "We need more concrete, do you think you can mix it?"

"Yes sir" I walked towards the cement and leaned down to touch it but the worker wasn't seeing me so he kept on talking

"Okay let me give you some instructions as how to do it. Create a Well in the Center imagine like making a dam, with a hole in the middle, the mix its the wall and you are placing the water inside this hole. Avoid the risk of overwatering we want it to be all groomy, like... Toothpaste. ... Mix thoroughly, then continue mixing until you achieve a homogenous and workable consistency, something like toothpaste again, you got that?"

"Done."

"Done what?"

"Done with the mix."

"Wait hold up" Both the supervisor and worker approached staring at the mix I had made perfectly, it had the consistency they wanted as well. "How did you do it that fast"

"I used my quirk, since the elements were there for it I simply did it and done..."

"What do you mean by simply did it?"

"So you wanted the mix, the elements were already there, so I just mixed them properly with my quirk and... Done, I didn't do any of your steps because I didn't need to" The supervisor looked at it, touching it with her hand, grabbing the consistency and checking it all over.

"Yup, this actually works well kid..." She looked to the side the rest of cement bags and water buckets "Say kid, want some extra work?"

"Anything to be a good person"

"You can just say yes kiddo..."

The next 20 minutes was me making mix after mix of cement with workers stopping their shoveling and leaving all of the mix to me as we were progressing at a much faster pace, they kept flattening and preparing the ground with the cement mix while I keep handling them more and more of it, at one point the supervisor stopped me halfway of a mix to speak to me. "This is good, we don't want to over do it, if you make a lot of it, might go bad and solidify before we can actually use it, you did well kid great job!" She patted my head and ruffled my hair making me super happy.

"What do you want me to do now"

"Right now most workers are using your mix, have you applied cement before?"

"Yes I have"

"Okay come here" She handed me a shovel as I stared at it weirded out, she grabbed the bucket and left me in a construction floor alongside another worker "The surface has been prepared all you need to do is apply a thin even layer using the trowel-" Not a shovel, trowel, good to know "Work in small sections, smoothing the surface as you go, look at Kawizawa there and ask if you are doing well and allow it to dry before applying a second coat or a finish. Allow the final application to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure proper hardening"

"Like this?" I said touching the mix inside the bucket, the mix moved by itself applying evenly all over the place as my supervisor and Kawizawa stared, after a while the mix went from soggy and wet, to a jello soft mix and then hardening in matter of minutes, both of them staring in silence. "And now I apply the second layer or should I add more?"

My supervisor touch the ground, feeling the surface "Wow, this is the most perfect handy work quirk I've seen, Are you the cementoss hero? I have never met him in person"

"I have handled cement, rock, road, and a lot of material constructions all day everyday with my quirk, its as familiar as my own body if I am honest... But no I am not cementoss"

"Say... Are you tired?"

"Not at all"

"Would you like some more work kid?" She had a smile even if she didn't have eyes she had a mouth and her smile was bright and happy.

30 minutes later

Momo and Mina were sweating as they worked dilligently helping carry stuff, Momo had used her quirk to create more tools and help with the work as well but it was still a bit tiring.

"How are you doing Momo?"

"Hm? I am fine thanks Mina, just a bit worried on my mind"

"Ooooh, let me guess is it Jack? I think he will do fine but if you are too worried you should totally go visit him" Momo blushed at that and shook her head

"Mina please let's focus on what we are doing right now-" One of the supervisors came by to see Momo and Mina

"Hey you two! Take a break, don't work so much, in fact take a 2 hour break if you want"

"Ah but we are still 1 hour away from the afternoon break. Although why so much time? I don't think its a good idea"

"Nah its fine, we have advanced thrice as fast today thanks to the hero you two brought, you should've said he was so handy" Both Momo and Mina stared at each other

"Where is he right now?"

Back to Jack

I was currently pouring the cement all over the wall and solidifying it to make sure it was proper, filling any gaps and holes and trying to notice anything odd about it. "I belive one of these pipes its actually a bit loose, can someone check on it please?"

"Sure thing wonderboy" I kept going with some cement and stains on my clothes, but I didn't care this was rather easy for me to do. "So tell me how did you get so good at making these?"

"Its really easy, I use concrete walls, rock walls, and constructions too often as a hero, I could do this for a few hours more without getting tired being honest and having time to concentrate helps me as well"

"How about you take a break. How old are you kid?"

"20 years old, soon to be 21?"

"Then you can drink"

"Oh! No beer for me thank you!"

"Suit yourself then, how about a soda, the drinks are not cold however" I approached the man touching his bottle, the beer suddenly popping up a few ice cubes made out of beer inside which made the beer cold.

"I cannot make it cold directly without freezing, but I can solidify the drink making it cold overtime thanks to it, its funny how temperature works for me because-"

"HEY YUKI AKARI!" He called out to another two workers "Would you like some cold drinks?..."

As Momo and Mina arrived they notice many workers around me handing me their drinks while I had a bright smile on my face, making every drink cold, every meal tastier, adding salt and spices when they needed, it was good to know chemistry enough to change the composition of many things and help out, I loved being of help, I loved being praised, I loved being pet by so many workers even if they got my hair all dirty, they were having so much fun and I by myself ended up building 3 houses so far, they were so happy with me.

"Looks like you are having fun over here Jack" Momo said as I approached her, almost as if I was skipping instead of walking.

"Hehehehe they call me wonderboy, they said I was super helpful and they like me quite a lot" I was rubbing my cheeks, I felt so happy that my face had gone numb

"Hey Wonderboy!" One of the workers called me as I turned around to help him "Do you think you can make ketchup out of this tomato?"

"Yes sir, I can make it out of a rock to be honest, the composition of it, its not so hard to achieve." I grabbed the tomato and a bottle turning it into the the ketchup mix, placing my finger inside of the sauce and turning it into the proper sauce and then I focused on making it permanent "Sorry about my finger on it but I promise it doesn't taste weird"

"Nah! We eat our food with as much dust as we have in our hand sometimes, don't worry about it"

"Let me help with that too!" I touched his food and suddenly a little cloud of dust was blown away out of it

"Hey kid! How about a contract to work here, we would love some of your skills at Plants and Builds corporation, you could end up easily supervisor or regional manager with your quirk and give us all 2 hour breaks from now on!"

"OI! Don't give him ideas, I don't want a brat to suddenly take my job" Said my supervisor

"I am just happy to help" I was beaming from happiness, my smile has never been brighter.

"Jack is really weak to compliments huh?" Momo took note of that for the future

"Yes he is..." Mina got a bright idea before pushing Momo forward "Saaayyyy Momo how about you go and compliment him a little, he could enjoy that"

"Wh-what why?"

"I think it would do you both good! I am bad at compliments go get him!" She pushed him forward, Momo understood why she asked her to do it, but it felt kind of silly being watched by Mina.

Momo approached me with a nervous look and a trembling hand, she approached me, touching my head softly, she patted me, tenderly and carefully, her fingers avoiding to get stuck on my messy hair as she headpat me and with a happy expression she said "Good boy Jack"

It felt almost like a compliment that you would give a dog, even Jack is a dog name but it made me so flustered and happy to hear that, my face was revealing my emotions right now, this was my true weakness, some validation and nice words

"Th-thanks" I quickly stepped away moving out of her reach as I needed to take some air, if I stayed with her a little bit longer it might had been dangerous for my heart and who knows what I would've done, this was the same feeling I felt when with Inko, oh god I cannot be seen like this right now, I quickly made my way out of there, we were on break so I wasn't going to be bothered by the workers either right? I quickly passed Mina as I made my way out of there with her staring at me with a smug expression.

Once I was out of everyone's reach I decided to take deep breaths by myself, I opened up my phone to write a message to Momo saying that I was fine, she just caught me too off guard and I was a few seconds away of kissing her in front of everyone, something that I really should be able to control more, I wasn't so sure why have my emotions been so jumpy left and right lately, but my heart was seriously weak to such little praise.

As I was about to go back after calming down, I heard someone coming behind me entering the abandoned building I was currently in.

"Hey Jack! You really run fast you know! You really seemed to have panicked as soon as Momo touched you riiiiiight!? You wouldn't happen to be weak to some compliments correct?!" It was just Mina who came to tease me it seems

I sighed as I got worried it was one of the workers "Yeah yeah, laugh it off, I was not expecting her to approach me, she just looked too pretty"

"What did she tell you to have you running away from her"

"Sh-she said something nice! What does it matter?"

"Well girls might see that as something bad you know"

"I already write to her that I had to do- Stuff- and that's why I ran and I appreciate her nice words"

"Pft, at that rate you are not going to date her, come on, try practising with me, What are you going to tell her next time you see her?"

"What? I don't need to practise how to talk to girls, Momo just caught me off guard its all"

"Oh please I saw you on the train you were totally flustering, I thought you were better with girls from what you said but you are very shy around them" Sure I was shy on the train but because three of the girls I banged were staring and talking to me and Setsuna makes me sweat bullets!
