Chloe Jones, NYE Party Girl (Modern Day)

Chloe breathes. She’s barefoot in her living room wearing teal yoga pants and sports bra. It’s been a trash fire of a year, but it’s finally New Year’s Eve and she’s got a party to go to tonight. The plan is for her friend Rachel to come by later, and then they’ll throw on something cute and head over with champagne and noisemakers. She needs to forget her ex Dan. If she can get smashed, so much the better.

She grabs her phone. First she orders herself a light dinner for delivery, and then she switches to a yoga app and choose a meditation sequence to relax. She lays out a yoga mat on her hardwood floor and lies down. Her breasts rise and fall as she breathes deeply, trying to block out her intrusive thoughts.

Chloe goes through a sequence of poses stretching out her hips, inner thighs, spine, and lower back. She enters a flow state as she drifts, and is startled when her phone chimes. Rohan is almost here to deliver her dinner.
