Jan. Week 3: Friday- Leah didn't meet Mr. Bill during her planning period (Silence: -25, Luck: +15)

"Mr. Bill! " Leah said with her teacher voice to project down the hallway. Mr. Bill turned and looked at her. She mustered a tight smile.

“Sorry, Mr. Bill, I’ve got an I.E.P. meeting during planning today. Sorry...I uh...double booked on my calendar.” She tried to sell the lie, even as her voice wavered near the end like a wounded animal. Mr. Bill arched a skeptical eyebrow as he moved closer to her.

“Well, now, those special kids—ain’t they a handful. Bless yo’ heart, Miss Leah. Though--you may wanna think about some of yo priorities now don'ts ya? Next week we’ll catch up.” He gave her that same wolfish wink, the one that implied he knew she was lying, but that he’d let her get away with it just this once. His retreating footsteps echoed down the empty hall, left Leah shivering but she felt stronger for it as she chose to not go and play into his demands...no matter how much it cost her.
