More hunting

"Huff... Huff..." - Jane was panting as she killed her 20th enemy. At first it wasn't hard but after she killed 10 cockatrices, they began attacking two or three at once and while they still weren't strong it was much harder for the girl keep up with them. Although after she found a weapon, things went smoother, though that 'weapon' was just a stick she picked up in park.

A simple wooden stick, it's hard to find a weapon more primitive than this.

"Okay... 7 more and I'll get a level up..." - She gripped her weapon and turned to face a quacking behind her. - "Oh fuck..."

Before her was another chicken, but it was much bigger, around the size of big dog and it's feathers were grey in colour. The monster launched into attack, it collieded with Jane, hitting her for 9 HP, the girl hit it with her stick, but even with attack bonus from weapon she took only 5 HP. - "Damn, this one is much stronger..."

This fight was much harder for girl, the cockatrice was much faster than previous ones and her attacks, when she managed to hit the creature, weren't strong, dealing no more than 4-5 HP. But in the end she managed to land a final hit on the monster killing it, she even got a stat upgrade from running and fighting.

+1 STR from doing basic exercises.

"Oh, finally..." - Jane sighed as the cockatrice fall on the ground, thanks to Gamer Body skill Jane was completely fine but her clothes were almost destroyed. - "This one gave me 50 Exp that's good, but after that fight I have only 37/50 HP... I need to be more carefull..."

The girl quickly dove into bushes and activated Stealth skill as she heard quacking nearby. Looking around she saw another big cockatrice. Jane had 4 free points from completing optional objectives, so she decided to upgrade her stats before fight, she put 1 point to STR and END and 2 to AGI, that way she'll have more HP and could deal more damage. So her stats looked like his:

And after catching her breath Jane run toward new enemy, and catching it by surprise she hit chicken's head with her weapon, taking 9 HP of enemy. The cockatrice quacked and kicked the girl with it's talons hitting Jane for 5 HP and further tearing already torn jeans. The girl keep swinging the branch and tried to evade monster's attacks and finally she killed this one too. - "Okay, I think I can kill 8 more of these things..." - Jane smirked as she got a level up and additional 5 stat points from it. With this tactic - hit from ambush, evade all attacks she can and keep hitting with her weapon.

"Uh, fuck... that was intense..." - Jane sighed after killing 30th cockatrice completing all optional missions, and raising her level from all experience from killing chickens. - "Now, it's time for a boss I guess..."
