Veronica looked down at the vial in her hand, questioning her decisions for a brief moment. She'd done months of work to create AGS in a living specimen, running test after test and accepting many failures. But now she seemed to finally have it, and she wondered if she was playing with fire. She hadn't tested it in people yet, and many would even wonder why she would want to create the disease that has ruined many people's lives.

And none understood that she was jealous.

She knew he wouldn't see it immediately, but hit send and, before she could chicken out, downed the vial in one go.
