Magical Party Game

Exam season just ended, and they kicked my ass. I'm happy to be done with them. I'm lying on your bed scrolling through social media on my phone. I went to the college in my hometown in order to save money. I live with my parents; saving money on both rent and food. They aren’t very strict and let me do pretty much anything I want, as long as I stay out of jail.

Suddenly I get a text from Owen, my best friend. I met in first year and we are in the same program. Though other than our program the two of us are quite different. I'm quite the introvert, mostly sticking to myself and staying silent, while Owen is loud and pulls people in, even the ladies like him. He has pretty much forced me to become a part of his friend group, but I'm glad he did. College life has already become much better than my high school life.

“Yo John, Crystal is hosting a party tonight at her house. You better be there. Exams are over. Party time is NOW!”

I can’t help but let out a small chuckle at his text, but I'm also quick to send him a confirmation that I'll go. He’s right after all, it’s party time.
