Power Cheat

The cabin had an intimate, cozy feeling to it which looked deceptively smaller than it was. Though not as enormous as the urban mansion, The Hunter's Lodge was still bigger on the inside.

The note left on the kitchen table made it pretty clear that this was part of the larger property. The Old Man, or The Sage, as some folks called him, was something of a genius who mastered interdimensional travel along with everything else the man had put his mind to. The Old Man had mastered all things, even ****, and had decided to move on to higher planes of existence and decided to leave it up to Fate who would inherit his vast estate.

Of course, when I found the weapons, I had to try them out.
It was not just the swords with the names like Mountain Breaker and Raven's Scythe that were infused with unfathomable destructive power. It was the guns that were infused with unfathomable destructive power with names like Iron Promise and Freedom Seeder that gave me huge respect for the Old Man.

This is a good time to talk about my Sage's Storehouse. Of all of my abilities, it is the most useful by far. I simply have to be touching an object and use my HUD to put the object into my inventory and anything which is not protected by magic disappears into some other dimension until I want to recall it from a space between spaces.

Outside the cabin there was a garden, training yard, and a small fishing creek enclosed within a wooden fence. It was only by virtue of my HUD that I knew that there was an indestructible barrier charm protecting the cabin from the monsters which claimed this forest as their territory.

I was messing around pulling different weapons in and out of my inventory trying to see how fast I could switch between shield and spear and sword and pistol stances when my HUD flashed in front of me. <ALERT: Threat detected> a disturbance appeared on my internal map and when I turned toward the thing that had triggered my danger sense, I saw the shadow of an enormous creature lumbering towards me which my HUD outlined and identified as <Royal Ogre-Lvl 500.> The creature screamed and came crashing out of the trees and tried to smash through my barrier. The Ogre which stood half again taller than the cottage behind me was stubbornly trying to break through and smash me with its club the size of a tree trunk. I looked at the spear in my right hand and at the "Unbreakable Shield" in my left and shrugged.
"DIE!!!!" I yelled as I charged at the enormous and foul thing in front of me. The monster roared as it tried to splatter me. I turned the club aside with the shield and drove my spear through the monster. I pushed the shaft deeper and deeper into the monster. I wanted to drive my tip straight through the ugly fucker.

I heard the creature let out a groan before it exploded into a cloud of glowing pixels which flew towards me before dissipating inches from me. <You have slain a royal ogre. Default Auto-collecting loot. Default Domestication Attempt: Successful. Acquired: ogre-****. Mana stone grade B+, Royal Ogre hide armor set (grieves, bracers, coat, leggings, helmet), 2 Royal Ogre tusks, 41 ogre teeth.>

I felt the burning fever coming on. I stumbled back into the house and said a small prayer of thanks that the place had running water. I dipped my head under the sink to try to let the cold water cool me off. It helped, but not as much as taking a pair off pills I found in cupboard in a bottle with the words "cure-all" in hand written letters in a language I could only understand thanks to my universal translator.
I was exhausted and drenched with sweat.

To explain what happened next, I have to give credit to some kind of subconscious knowledge that seeped through from the Old Man's Book of Lore and guided me. I willed myself to open the System's <Menu> icon and scroll down to the <Contact> and search for <medical>
