The Morning After

"Morning Cass Cass, morning Sexy Lexie!" Barbie called out to her two favourite people as she woke.

"Morning Barbs" Cassie yawned, rubbing her eyes.

"Ribbit!"

Maggie wished there was some way that she could communicate what had happened to her and let the others know that she wasn't actually Lexie, but that seemed impossible.

"Okay Lex, time for your morning bubble bath!" Barbie smiled at Maggie.

"Croaak!"

Barbie filled the bathroom sink up with warm water then added some bubbles and dropped the frog into it. Maggie ribbited and began to splash about much as Lexie had, but somehow something felt off.

"I'm a little worried about Lex. She seems quieter than usual. A little down" Barbie confided to her wife as she emerged from the en suite into the bedroom.

"Can you blame her Barbs? She has been a frog an awfully long time now" Cassie replied "I mean, do you think she is ever even turning back?"

"Of course she is!" Barbie replied confidently "All of my glitches are going to be together and exactly how they should be once this is over. And nobody will be on any apps!"

"I'm calling a meeting" Cassie decided "People are starting to treat this like a holiday. We need to get back to business"

Sometime later, most of the glitches were assembled together in the dining area downstairs.

"Who are we missing? James, Tania and Maggie" Cassie called out scanning the room.

"Ribbit!" Maggie croaked as loudly as she could, though nobody paid any attention. She had leaped from Lexie's usual favourite resting spot between Barbie's boobs and was sitting on a nearby table instead in the hope people might realise she was a different person.

"James always sleeps late, not sure about the other two" Abigail offered.

"I'm here guys!" Tania called out as she jogged hurriedly down the stairs towards the others "Sorry I'm late, I was on the phone to my mother. We still haven't had the talk about me being permanude yet"

"Oh, that's never a fun conversation" Olivia sympathised.

"Abi, go and knock for the other two, we need everyone here" Cassie ordered.

"Sure thing!" the blonde beauty smiled obligingly.

"Oh, good news, Mel called last night!" Laura informed the group in the meantime "She will be back here today"

"How was she?" Anna wondered.

"Okay. I mean, a little down at first but pretty chipper once I'd had a talk with her. Not that I'm saying I should be a life coach for permanudes on apps or anything"

"My Laura. So modest, so humble!" Olivia joked as she slapped her partner on the bum.

"Hey guys!" Abi called down from upstairs, breaking the levity "James is here but Maggie's room is empty!"

There was a concerned murmuring among the glitches. Maggie herself ribbited, but nobody paid any attention.

"The witch is back!" Cassie sighed "Looks like the party is over"
