"Sure," you reply, realizing it's well past six o'clock and Val probably already left work for the day, so there would be no point calling the garage to ask her for a lift. You decided to take a chance and accept Ellie's offer, hoping that if she is Connie's sister she doesn't know that you had taken her sibling's virginity last night and unlocked her inner nymphomaniac.

Ellie unlocks the door and opens it for you. The two of you walk out of the storage room innocently as if nothing had happened in the last five minutes. Luckily people in the bar are too busy with their drinks and playing pool to notice anything out of the ordinary.

"Let me ring the beer before I punch out for the night," Ellie says while she walks behind the bar. You set down the cases on the floor and pull out your wallet to pay for the beer. The cute redhead waves to the regular patrons and they bid her a goodnight as the two of you step out the front door. You follow her around the back where she parked her Jeep.

"So where are you heading with all this beer?" Ellie asks while she opens the rear door to let you put the beer away.

You pull out from your pant pocket the piece of paper that Connie wrote her address on. Her eyes widen when she sees the address.

"A friend invited me to a party," you answer innocently.

"A friend?" she asks suspiciously.

"Loretta, the daughter of the farmer I stayed with last night," you reply.

"I know Loretta," Ellie says. "She's my younger sister's best friend."

You play your best poker face and hopefully don't reveal that you already know Connie. "Well, she took pity on me that I'm stuck in town for another day and invited me to her party."

Ellie eyes you for a few seconds while playing with her hair. You didn't lie to her, you simply didn't tell her the whole truth.

"Okay, get in," she says with a smile.
