Sealed in

In a spaced out room, an Exeggutor was being pushed back towards the wall. Their body was sore as they had been trying to defend themselves from their attackers. They looked towards the corner where there was more space between them and the wall and attempted to make a break for the exit, but a cold gust made them stop in place before they were pushed directly against the wall.

“You still think you can get away?” The Jynx asked the cowering Pokémon in a feminine voice with hostility. “After abandoning us?!”

“I-It went really bad.” One of the Exeggutor heads answered. ”T-Those guys were a l-lot tougher than I e-expected.” The second Exeggutor head stuttered as he felt the Malamar’s tentacles holding him to the wall.

“If you’re going to explain yourself, you might as well be honest to us.” The Malamar, with a male voice, spoke calmly and coldly to him. “You disagree with Valorie’s conduct so you ran at the slightest slip up. Even after all she did for all of us.”

The three headed Pokémon looked at each other for a moment before the third one, the one in the center looked at them. “Well… can we really say that the priest is really protecting us?”

“How can you doubt her?” The Jynx snapped at him.

“I-it’s just that…” the Exeggutor stuttered, trying to gain the courage to keep talking. “He has returned to us, but I’m sure they don’t lose their memories, b-but all the other infected are hostile e-even if we h-haven’t even met them at all.” He continued, “If Reynauld really wanted to protect us, I-I don’t believe that he would w-want us to sacrifice innocents to keep this place safe, he would’ve preferred we work harder.”

“But you heard about the horde that was nearby, but it never got close.” The Jynx asked him. “Don’t you think it would overwhelm this place if it wasn’t for him?”

“N-no, they never a-actually move towards this d-direction for very long. We n-never had a situation where they would arrive until now.” He stated, noticing the two looking at each other for a moment before the Jynx shrugged, “Not that it matters to us anyway.”

“W-what do you mean it wouldn't matter?!” The Exeggutor exclaimed in shock and fear.

“You ran when we all needed you. You’ve proven you can’t be trusted.” The Malamar answered, his tentacle hair and long limbs waving at the pinned Pokémon menacingly before a sound similar to a stone being kicked was heard behind them.

The two of them paused and turned to see a Pachirisu stumbling before she looked up and let out a Yelp when she realized they are looking at her

“Well now, a little one.” The Malamar spoke softly, “Are you lost?”

“Wait a minute…” the Junx told him, taking a closer look. “That’s the girl that Raichu was talking about!”

“Is that so? Well, if you’re looking for your brother, we’ll help you out.’ The Malamar spoke in a soothing tone, offering one of his long arms towards Kate.

“U-uh.. T-Thank you, but I’m not lost… I’m with others.” She said, preparing to run away, but felt her body being held by an invisible ****.

“Hey now, your big brother caused a big mess for us. Now if he isn’t around to get his just punishment, then I guess you have to take it in his place.” The Jynx stated, taking a sinister glowing gaze at the little Pachirisu girl as she approached.

Kate started to whimper in fear at what they were going to do to her. Fortunately that idea never came to pass before a blast of ember shot at the Jynx. It only nipped at her fingers, but it was enough for her to break loose.

Kate fell on her back before she heard a familiar voice from behind, belonging to Rachael. “I won’t let you do anything to her!” She looked and saw Nina running ahead of her as Rachael knelt to her.

“Are you okay?” The Buneary asked, looking concerned.

“I-I’m okay…” Kate stuttered, shaking a little from what just happened, then she saw the tunnel where you and Vargus were approaching the entrance. Just as she was about to move, the tunnel was blocked.

“What the?” The Pachirisu cried out as she went to the slab of the wall and tried to lift it, but it was clearly too heavy.

“Kate, Rachael, Nina! Are you alright?!” Your voice calls out from the other side.

“We’re alright!” Rachael called out, just barely dodging one of the psychic’s attacks. “Get us out of here!” she called out.

Kate shjvers at seeing the two psychics glaring at her while Rachael and Nina stare at them. “C-Can you two lift the stone up?!”

“Nghhh! It’s too heavy!” A voice belonging to vargus grunted out, “Melanie, can’t you use your psychic to lift it?!”

“I’m trying, but I can’t project my telekinesis on it, something must be interfering with it.”

Nina looked back and noticed paper lining the wall. “Dammit, they must’ve included a dark type taliman among them!” She cried out, just ducking under one of the Malamar’s extended tentacles. “Just try to lift it up, we’ll hold them back!”

“Heh, you can try.” The Malamar sneered at the fire type as she eyed the Pachirisu. “You’re next after them.”

The electric type tremble before the Malamar saw Nina stepping in front of her. “Don’t count on it!” She spat at her, before she fired an ember at her which struck at the duel type’s legs. “You two got a lot of nerve, threatening a child! Have you two no shame?!”

The Malamar winced as she moved her lower tentacles frantically. ”What was going on wouldn’t have come to this if that fat rat out there didn’t stick his nose where it didn’t belong!“

“Didn’t belong?!” Rachael cried out looking shocked just as she swung her ears out to counter the Jynx’s ice punch. “That was his sister you were trying to sacrifice!” She then headbutted the Jynx, who winces back in pain.

“What we do… is for the sake of keeping everyone alive!” The Jynx growled at them with a deadly glare, huffing and blasting her with a freezing gust.

The Buneary winces as she crossed her arms in order to endure the freezing wind. “Those families, friends, innocent lives you gave up to that infected Slowking?! What do you call that?!” She yelled at her.

“Tragedy of survival. Unavoidable circumstances.” The Malamar stated, preparing a psybeam attack.

“Unavoidable?!” Nina repeated back, taking a deep breath before a stream of fire blasted out of her mouth at the same time a beam of psychic energy was fired towards her.

The attacks barely missed each other as they were both stuck by their opponent. The Vulpix cried out in pain as she braced her legs to keep herself from kneeling on the floor. She shakes the daze off of her, and makes a quick attack, hoping to catch the Malamar off guard.

Just then, the Malamar extended her long tentacle to catch Nina along the limb. Soon she retracted it back, getting the Vulpix in her grip!

Nina yelps from being brought to her, feeling the two tentacles wrapping around her as she struggles to break free of the hold.

“Surrender, and I will spare your life and the life of the Buneary! We just want the Pachirisu!” The Malamar offered, struggling to keep the squirming fire fox.

“T-there’s no way I’ll do something so heinous!” Nina growled back, baring her teeth at the Malamar.

“Humph! Ignorant youth! You really think you can overpower me?!” she snarl at the Vulpix, starting to squeeze Nina tighter, making her yelp in pain. If she doesn’t get out of the hold soon this could get even worse than it already is!
