"Okay, everyone," the art professor Dr. Jacobs regretfully informed the class, "today's model has called in sick, so I need someone to be the life model. Come on, don't be shy!"
Despite Dr. Jacobs's insistence, all of the female-dominated class was, in fact, shy. Nobody was planning to get up on stage and undress, and so there was an awkward silence of 30 seconds before Dr. Jacobs spoke up again.
"Alright, no one? Looks like I'll have to assign someone the job."
Everyone's throat closed up as Dr. Jacobs's finger waved around the class, just waiting to point to someone unfortunate.
