A few questions on the way to class!

"...so, you're holding onto One For All for a while?" Momo asked as they walked to UA together the next morning.

"Yeah, after using up the Embers back on I-Island, All Might decided it would be best if we put a pause on the One For All Hot Potato thing, at least until I've had some time to build up at least a few minutes worth again," Izuku replied with a frown. "Especially given that I, and I quote, "Seem to be a magnet for freak incidents.""

"...well, he's not exactly wrong," Ochaco giggled. "First, the Slime Villain, then the USJ, then Stain, then this whole fiasco at I-Island..." While the public still only knew the official story on that third one, Izuku had of course told his girls about that particular incident.

"... it's sad how I really can't argue with that," Izuku groaned, slumping slightly as everyone else winced.

"To be fair, it might be Bakugo who's the magnet," Momo noted. "He was there for all four, and he's certainly loud enough to get a Villain's attention. We'll have to wait for an incident that only involves either one of you before we can say for sure."

"Is there no way to increase the rate Embers build up in you?" Mei questioned, getting some looks. "...what? I might specialize in Support Gear, but exploring possibilities is kind of in the job description!" she huffed, almost offended that they seemed surprised that she thought to ask that.

"Pity most of the possibilities you explore tend to lead to a Kaboom," Tooru quipped.

Mei threw her hands up. "I'm just saying, One For All is a mass of energy, right? Is enhancing your physical capabilities all you can do with it? Maybe you could manipulate it into leaving more Embers behind over time? Or maybe you could do other things! Like, what would happen if you tried focusing the energy outside of your body instead of within?"

Izuku stared owlishly at Mei, processing her suggestions. "...I... Never even thought to try such things," he admitted.

"See? Like I said, trying things out with the question of what would happen is how I roll!" Mei beamed.

"Yeah, but, as Tooru said, with you, the answer is usually, Boom!" Setsuna giggled.

"I refuse to be shamed for my failures! My failures lead to greater innovations!" Mei cackled.

"...okay, I think she's been out of the studio for too long, ribbit," Tsuyu croaked.

"Oh yeah... Good thing we're back in class, she's going to be Power Loader's problem until Wednesday when we reconvene the study group," Itsuka chuckled nervously.

"Speaking of which, Master, more than enough time has passed for you to seriously consider whether you want to make a move on Yanagi," Momo teased him, and he flushed as they headed up the steps of the building.
