"Who said anything about restaurants?" Clara smirks. "I was thinking the Fox & Crown for pre-drinks, then maybe Pulse later. Jamie's waiting for you there, isn't he, Mia?"

You feel David tense beside you at the mention of Jamie's name.

"I'm not sure that's—" David begins.

"Oh come on," Clara interrupts. "Mia's all dolled up with nowhere to go! We can't let this masterpiece of a makeover go to waste."
