How do you respond?
Make something up
“Oh, that’s just some stuff I picked up in an antiques shop,” you tell her. No point telling her the truth. She wouldn’t understand it. She’s a practical woman, one not prone to believing in magic. “Just put it back in the box.”
Krystal picks up one of the items, a leather cap, and looks at it for a moment, then shrugs before doing what you suggested. You help her pick up the rest of the items, and then stow the box to one side. She continues to put her clothes back on.
Both fully dressed, you finally open the beers you brought in and move from the office to the lounge, where you slump in chairs and sit in post-coital comfort, her on the sofa, you in an armchair. The conversation drifts to your impressions of your first week at school. When the beer is finished Krystal decides to go home.
“Trust me, I’d love to stay all night, but I’ve got plans for tomorrow and they require me up early.” She leans in and kisses you passionately. “Having experienced how you reward those who help you, if you ever need any help call me immediately.” She kisses you again before she leaves.
Having fixed the WIFI, you decide to test it out. First with the TV, trying out a couple of the streaming platforms. Before there was a noticeable delay at the start. Now that’s gone.
Then the real test. You power up the laptop, switch to your favourite porn and watch. Yes, much smoother, much quicker. You’re soon beating out a response.
Having cleaned up the laptop, you then prepare a meal, before deciding what to do now. You feel like really testing the WIFI, maybe some investigations?
You’ve run into a few question marks about your colleagues and your situation. A couple of thoughts that have unnerved you. Maybe you should investigate them?
