Brian was studding to be a zookeeper

Brian was studying to be a zookeeper at university. He has pale skin and dark hair. He was doing well in his theory modules and was overall a bright and well-behaved student. However, he was struggling with the practical aspect in his animal husbandry model. This was not going unnoticed by his professor, Mrs Budgen. Mrs Budgen was a Bucentaur from Greece. She had a moderate accent, but her English was perfect. She had dark hair, olive skin, and a brown and white pattern on her bovine half.

Once a week, the class visited a farm to do some practical work. The farm had a mix of animals. It was also staffed by hybrids. Hybrids are a term used for the variety of species that were part human, part animal, for example, centaurs, minotaurs, faunas, and Naga. The Hybrid staff often volunteers to be examined by the students. The animal husbandry module was popular with those studying Hybrid medicine and veterinary. Hybrids shared some of the same physiology as the beasts they resembled. However could talk and explain any injuries or ailments. It was also used to learn the difference between the animal and the hybrid. For example, a centaur was adapted to eat meat and a variety of vegetables. Whereas horses could only eat grasses and oats. The Hybrid staff benefited from volunteering by having free and regular medical check-ups from the students. In the past, this has helped catch a few issues early so that they could go to their doctor and get proper medical treatment in time for good recovery.

The farm was run by a Naga named Samantha. “Brian’s knowledge is very good but he lacks a gentle touch with the animals and hybrids. I’ve had complaints from the staff. If he doesn’t improve, I will have to ban him.”

“Well, if that happens, he will fail the course. I will speak to him and work with him.” Mrs Budgen replied.

“When he pulled my tail in an examination, I was tempted to eat him. Perhaps that would have been the better option now my staff are threatening to stop all voluntary work.” Samantha added. “Then Everyone would fail.
