Raynare tries to get more information.

"I was not worthy..." Issei sighed, weeping comical tears as he mentally recalled the talk he had had with Azazel... He had no idea just what sort of glory he had been standing before.

"...I was expecting rage and envy..." Raynare stated, her amusement going to exasperation in record time. She sweat dropped watching Issei practically dissolve into admiration for the man.

"I never thought I would have a Fallen Angel as a role model..." Issei breathed. "That man... Is something to aspire to!"

"...dear Lord, what have I done?" Raynare buried her face in her hands. She'd basically turned Issei into Azazel's fanboy, and not for a reason she would have agreed with! She genuinely felt embarrassed for Issei right now...

Once Issei had snapped out of it, and Raynare had eaten most of her dinner, she asked him, "So, your... Admiration for my boss aside, what did you and your boss even talk about after the Rating Game?" She was hoping he might slip up and reveal just a little more if he told her anything about that at all.

"...my boss?" Issei blinked. "You mean Rias?"

"No, I mean Sirzechs, you dimwit!" she rolled her eyes. "What as so important that he wanted to talk to you along with Rias and Riser?" she pressed.

"...yeah, sorry, most of that was classified. I can say though that he was essentially grading our performances in the Rating Game, congratulated me on beating Riser... And also threatened me regarding Rias," Issei admitted with a small shudder.

Raynare took a deep breath. While Issei didn't know it, this confirmed that Sirzechs was indeed in on whatever the object she was investigating was, and that something regarding that object was decided by that Rating Game. That much, they already suspected, but Issei admitting there was classified info discussed at all just about sealed it.

Still, that just raised still more questions. What could have the interest of one of the Satans, if not all of them? What does it have to do with Rias? Or her relationship with Issei? Was Rias herself the thing that came into their world? No, that couldn't be it. Rias was a known presence well before then. Gah, the more she learned, the more she wanted to know!

"...so," she finally said as Issei paid for their meals. "What would it take for you to just tell me about the item that came into the world? Would joining your harem suffice?" she snorted.

"Actually, yes," Issei replied casually, getting up. Raynare blinked.

"I was joking!" she replied, also getting to her feet. "You'd seriously bribe me to join your harem with such highly classified information?"

"Nope! You're misunderstanding what I mean by that," Issei laughed. "I'm not saying that if you join my harem, I'll tell you. More along the lines of, if we get close enough, and trust each other enough that you'd fit into it, and of course, we both agree to it, then you would, by virtue of being in my harem, be privy to the secret. Of course, by then, I'd have to trust you not to just tell Azazel."

Raynare stared at him, trying to make heads or tails of what he was saying. "... you're not the same lovestruck fool I stabbed," she acknowledged as they stepped out.

"Of course not. When you're brought into this kind of world, especially in such a violent manner, you rethink your life, and you rethink it fast and thoroughly," Issei chuckled. "Of course, I am still me. I'm still the same unrepentant pervert I always was," he admitted without an ounce of shame as they headed back to the bus. "I'm just a lot wiser now..."

Raynare grumbled a begrudging agreement as she thought about her next move. Her next best lead was to wait for Freed to turn up, and grill him for more specifics about what happened when Asia escaped.
