Chapter 2

Who's knocking at the door?
Sarah's penpal, fresh from prison (BBC/raceplay route)
Standing in the doorway is the largest man I've ever met, a tall black guy who looked like he'd hit the gym every day of his life. With a broad, burly body and a bushy graying beard hiding a dark scowl, he was incredibly menacing. His hands were calloused and nearly the size of frying pans. I quietly hoped he was at the wrong door.
"Hi... um, can I help you...?" I'm **** to look upwards as we speak, nervous as he clearly sizes me up in the doorway. His dark, glaring eyes make me feel even smaller, like I should run far, far away... but he finally breaks the silence with a question that baffles me.
"Is Sarah home?"
This guy knows my Sarah?! How was that even possible? As my hand clutches the edge of the door for emotional support, I get ready to tell him he has the wrong house... until I hear a soft set of footsteps behind me.
"Babe, who's there...?" Sarah's sweet voice calls out from behind me before I hear her words catch in her throat. I turn to look in her direction and see a look of recognition and excitement on her face.
"DARNELL?! OH MY GOD, YOU'RE OUT!" Sarah rushes across the living room, nearly bowling me over as she bounces past, and practically dives out the door to embrace this black stranger in a huge hug. As I watch her embrace this big middle-aged black man, forcing myself not to gawk at her big soft breasts squashed against his muscular gut, I couldn't help feeling a twinge of jealousy for this new man who was getting all my girlfriend's attention. But I'm also pretty confused about exactly what's happening.
"Um... Sarah?" I try to interject, breaking up whatever this happy reunion is. "You know this... um, this guy?"
She pulls away from him with a big smile and walks back to me, grabbing my hand. "Okay... so remember back in 10th grade? When I told you I had a penpal in prison?"
"Sure...," I nod along with her question.
Sarah had always been compassionate to pretty much everyone, and even considered herself "woke" on race issues. She was proud of her reputation as an ally. I tried to emulate her compassion, but it was tough to keep up with my big-hearted girlfriend.
"Well, I stayed in touch with him all these years. He just had his parole hearing, so I gave him our new address just in case he got out, but..."
She turns excitedly back to her friend, overwhelmed with giddy glee. "...but I didn't think you'd actually visit! Let's go inside, I'll show you around and you can tell me all about prison!" She gives him another big hug, and I watch his big bear paw hands slip down her back, closer to her bountiful ass than I would like, wrapping around her waist as he pulls her in. I look over Sarah's shoulder, into his eyes, and for a moment it feels like he's smirking down at me. But when I blink, the moment has passed and everything looks completely normal.
The hug finally ends, and Sarah's infectious smile seems to smother the tension, and this big black stranger finally addresses me.
"Sup, you Liam? Darnell. Sarah told me bout you, the nice little white boy. Said you're a good boyfriend... that right?"
He reaches out for a handshake, and his dark hand completely engulfs mine, locking on with a powerful grip. I look up into the dark ebony features of this intimidating man and work up the nerve to respond as I shake with him.
"H-hi, I'm Liam..." My voice trembles slightly in response, as I fight through the intimidation. I didn't want her friend to have any doubt about my commitment to his penpal. "Yes, we've been together for years. I love her so much." He doesn't look impressed, but Sarah is blushing from what I just said.
"I would do anything for her," I say, hoping to convince him. I see a spark of interest cross his eyes for a moment, and it seems to work. He simply replies "Good boy" and turns back to my Sarah with a smirk.
"Okay, that's enough for now. I wanna hang out, Darnell!" As I watch Sarah take Darnell's massive hand and drag him into our new house, I notice the overstuffed gym bag he left sitting on the doorstep. "Oops, I'll grab that for you..." I say as they ignore me and walk inside; I step out into the hot afternoon sun and heft up the heavy bag as the pair leaves me behind, completely forgotten.
As I haul his bag inside and to our guest room, Sarah has already dragged Darnell onto our sofa to continue their chat. I can't help but notice how comfortable Sarah already is with Darnell, chatting away excitedly while he listens and looks her up and down. Sure, they've been friends for years, but it's not like they'd ever met in person. And yet, they're only inches apart on our new sofa, my curvy ginger girlfriend chatting eagerly and middle-aged Darnell looking as big and imposing as possible while he stretches out.
I want to say something, maybe even set a boundary or two... but when I see the excited smile on Sarah's face, I can't bear to do it. After her rough childhood, it's so nice to see her this happy, and with an old friend. I love her so much, and I am so lucky to share my future with her. Sex can wait a few hours.
Seeing the two of them so close sparks something inside me, a little pang of insecurity I didn't know was there. But I was overreacting. Yes, it was jarring to see my curvy white girlfriend with a huge black man, but I shouldn't be so worried. It's rude to Sarah, and maybe even a little racist to Darnell. I remind myself to do better, but that's when Sarah pulls me out of my overthinking with a question that stuns me.
"Babe, Darnell doesn't have anywhere to go tonight. Can we please let him stay?!"
Can Darnell stay?

Can't we let him stay?
It'll only be for a day or two, right?
Finally moving in with his long time girlfriend, their first night together is interrupted by a familiar face who needs a place to stay...
