Gia's Blessing

“Fifteen Minutes till go Live,” the new intern’s voice chimed over the intercom.

The pretty pale brunette dressed in green (Kira) and a cute Asian in red (Yeri), did not react. Both news anchors sat still as their hair stylist and make-up artist finished up.

A moment of silence past before Yeri gave a smirk.

“Did you know … that Debra … the new intern … is pregnant?” Yeri asked cooly.

Kira looked up from her phone.

“No? … Really? That makes nine at Channel 9. This new station is becoming a maternity ward,” Kira said before mentally counting who was expecting.

Channel 9 News Preggos: two desk anchors, four field reporters, one weather girl, one make-up artist, and now one intern.

“I swear. I heard her throwing up this morning. I bet it was one of the camera men. They are always eyeing us,” Yeri said looking towards the production set.

“That’s their job Yeri. … And regardless, that intern seems a little young,” Kira said shaking her head.

“Tisk, ladies …,” a high-pitched male voice chided.

“Didn’t you know? Pregnancy is contagious,” the hair stylist said pointing between the three baby bumps in the room.

The two news anchors and make-up artist turned and stared towards Adam. All three were giving their resident gay hair stylist a flat expression.

“Girls … don’t give me those looks. Don’t tell me you didn’t expect that cute little intern to not join your ranks? She probably felt peer-pressure to get preggers on her first day. Unless you're claiming there is something in the water, and that's why everyone is expecting,”

“So, if Deby is pregnant, my money is on Tonny, that executive producer is on set too often. He is definitely behind that girl getting knocked up,” Adam said turning back to his work.

The stylist began spraying Kira’s hair, but failed to notice how still she was. The room was quite as all three expecting mothers were still processing his words.

Little did he know, that his guess was right on the money. Tonny the Exec, was indeed to blame for the Intern’s condition. But he was also to blame for a lot more.

Tonny Berrington (the Executive Producer), humped Silvia (his favorite field reporter) from behind. He mindlessly caressed her bulging middle as she moaned beneath him.

“Shit! Would you … look … at … the time,” Tonny said bending up and grabbing the TV remote.

Sunnydale’s Local Channel 9 Broadcast filled his office with a soft blue light. He smiled as both pregnant anchors came on screen. Their baby bumps clearly visible.

“The news … keeps looking … better … and better,” Tonny chuckled to himself.

The Executive Producer thanked his stars for the hundredth time. He still could not believe his good fortune. What were the odds, that an old friend wanted to smuggle Johnson and Johnson’s new fertility **** months before the public release. And to smuggle it to him, Tonny Berrington of all people. A man, with a deep-rooted pregnancy fetish.

“Spiking the news station water cooler was the best decision I ever made,” Adam thought as he recalled making everyone fertile (and progressively horny).

“But first breaking news, Johnson and Johnson the giant pharmaceutical company (headquartered in our township), has just announced a new fertility miracle ****,”

At that the screen turned to show footage of a pill factory assembly line.

“The company’s verified twitter account made waves early this morning.” Yeri said before the screen changed to show a bold typed quote.

“We are proud to announce a new medical breakthrough. Our new pill Gia’s Blessing (GB) is the answer to the growing infertility problem. With our new revolutionary ****, we hope to give families the blessing of mother nature,” Yeri read.

The broadcast turned back to the news desk. Kira repressed a frown as she continued to read the teleprompter.

“Many considered this post to be a joke. But that tweet sparked pharmacies all around the country to begin stocking their shelves with Gia’s Blessing (GB),” Kira read, still not showing her growing disbelief.

Just then the news broadcast broke up into a grid of multiple screens showing amateur footage of people buying GB in stores.

“Three hours after their morning tweet. Johnson and Johnson posted again. This second tweet, made them #1 trending. Everyone in America is now reacting to their new **** with #JJ’sGB,” Yeri’s read.

The grid changed to show a screen capture on Twitter.

“Dear America, for years our company led the way in providing family planning and birth control. But family planning and birth control are often limited to pregnancy prevention. Here at Johnson and Johnson we are proud to announce true birth control. With our new pill Gia’s Blessing (GB), family planning is now a two-way street. Let JJ help you prevent pregnancy … or help you get pregnant fast,”

A quiet moment past as Kira and Yeri watched the teleprompter. Both remained professional as the unbelievable news became more and more believable.

Another quiet moment past, letting a cameraman be heard clearing their throat from off screen.

“We … now … turn to our field reporter Britnney,” Kira said with a smile.

A young pregnant blond in a black dress came on screen. She wore safety goggles and stood next to a stereotypical chemistry set.

“Thank you, Kira,” Britnney said happily.

The reporter turned to her right where an old grey-haired scientist stood.

“I am with fertility expert Dr. Freyr, what can you tell us about Johnson and Johnson’s new pill Gia’s Blessing?”

“Well … uhm … yes. My lab has been testing JJ’s new pill for the past year. We can securely say the new **** description is correct and safe to use. Now the non-disclosure agreement NDA is over, we can now begin to share our detailed findings,” Dr. Freyr said softly.

A moment past as the Dr. Freyr stared off into the distance.

“Doctor?” Britnney asked.

“Yes?”

“Can you share any of your findings with us today?”

“YES … one pill … of Gia’s Blessing will cause a reproduction system to ovulate and house an egg for the next 30 days. Thus … any male sexual deposits will result in a pregnancy,” Dr. Freyr said before stepping aside to reveal a rat cage.

“We learned that the GB pill dissolves remarkably well in water and is undetectable to all our test subjects, animal or human alike, … My lab has seen a 100% pregnancy probability in sexually active couples,” the Doctor said watching a very pregnant rat drink from a water dispenser.

Britnney frowned as the Doctor stared off into space again.

“Dr. FREYR can you share anything else about Gia’s Blessing?” Britnney said through a fake smile.

“Oh … my … yes, the miracle **** overrides all known forms of chemical birth control. My lab is about to publish a study, recommending smaller dosing of GB. We believe the GB pill is too much. Instead, we are suggesting micro-dosing, by dissolving a pill into a water source or drink. This will prevent overdosing and thereby prevent overdosing side-effects,”

“Side-effects? What side-effects?” Britnney asked in alarm.

“The same symptoms on the warning label. Excessive use of GB may cause mood-swings and swelling,” Dr. Freyr said with a shrug.

“What kind of mood-swings and swelling?” Britnney asked concerned.

“Normal high-fertility symptoms, subject going into heat … i.e. getting horny … and gaining weight as their body anticipates pregnancy and nursing,” Dr. Freyr said confused by the question.

“Normal High-Fertility Symptoms?” Britnney said in confusion.

“Yes High-fertility symptoms brought on by over-dosing on Gia’s Blessing. Our over-dosed human subjects looked a lot like you, minus the baby bump,” Dr. Freyr said pointing to Britnney’s figure.

“Excuse me! What are you on about?” Britnney cried in offence.

“You know, giant tits and ass,” Dr. Freyr said unabashedly.

“This interview is over,” Britnney said walking up and past the camera.

Channel 9 News turned black before shifting back to Kira and Yeri. Both women sat in silence as the field report sunk in.

The room was quiet as multiple puzzle pieces fell into place.
