Hanging Out With His Sis

Remember how I mentioned that the moment when I met Emily, I unknowingly gained a life long friend?

Well, this was the first instance of that.

I was watching an anime when she called. I was confused, as my phone didn't recognize the number.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey Rose, this is Emily. I was wondering if you'd like to meet me and my friends at the mall in a hour," she said. It took my brain a few minutes to process this. My boyfriends 22 year old sister, wants to hang out with me.

"Um, sure. I'll be there," I said. I didn't have anything planned for the day. Well, anything besides anime at least.

Henry got me into it. It's surprisingly really good.

"Awesome, I'll see you there," she said before hanging up.

Wow, I wasn't expecting that.

...

When I arrived at the mall, I was pretty nervous. Can you blame me, Emily is a total badass? And from the looks of her friends, they looked like badass' too. Me in my light colored dress definitely didn't fit in.

"Alright Rose, glad you could make it. These are my friends, Donna and Jackie," she said.

"It's nice to meet you," I said to them, holding out my hand. However, they didn't shake it.

"You actually invited your baby brothers girlfriend," said Donna.

"You bet! Now let's go!" exclaimed Emily.

It was clear that Donna and Jackie weren't too happy I was there, but it was also clear that they were too afraid of Emily to say much about it.

It didn't really matter, sense we were separate at the moment.

"Why did you invite me?" I asked Emily as we looked through a store by ourselves.

"Because you mean a lot to my brother, and he means everything to me. Besides, you're his first girlfriend," she said while slapping my back. Ow.

"I guess I'm just surprised. It seems like we don't have much in common," I said before getting distracted by a really cute dress.

"That's another reason I invited you. I want to get to know you better," she said. I smiled at her. It feels really good to share this.

"Well then, I can't wait to see what clothes you pick out," I said.

OMG she looks amazing. The top and spiked skirt go with the tights so well.

"You look incredible! That outfit is so you!" I exclaimed. For once, it was Emily who was flustered.

"Th-thanks. Too bad I could never afford this," she said, looking at the price tag. However, it wasn't much to me.

"I'll buy it for you," I offered. Her eyes widened just like Henry's has done so many times.

"What? No way, I didn't invite you so you can buy clothes for me!" she exclaimed. Her reaction reminded me so much of her brother that I giggled.

"Don't worry about it, this is nothing to me. Just let me spoil my boyfriend's sister," I said, giving her my best puppy eyes.

"Ok, fine. And thanks," she said. I smiled and gave her a hug. I was about to pull away, thinking I went to far, when she hugged me back.

This is really nice.
