Comforting Alex

“You will be a great mom, okay Alex,” you say, approaching Alex while a bit conscious about the scene that was being made. Clover already had her in a comforting hug and was slowly patting her head, so instead of hugging her you just patted a shoulder. “You will have all the resources the harem and I can provide and I always take care of my girls.”

She looks flustered as she turns her head to you, “B-but this is too sudden.”

Clover breaks her embrace and separates from Alex while keeping her hands on her friend’s shoulders. “How did you think I felt when I found out about me? I was like so not ready and I let everyone know it.”

“You didn–” You blinked and suddenly had Clover’s pointer finger shushing your mouth. You were only going to mention how she avoided you at the office before your disappearance on Trash World and your eventual Star Trek honeymoon adventure. Deciding to do something more productive than fight Clover, you glared at a couple of people who were standing around and gawking, you recall the third hand reports you got from your parents who got it from Uncle Walt about Clover’s partial meltdown at the office. You decided not to bring it up.

Clover continued on as if nothing had happened. “You are Alex Casoy, super spy, star athlete, you were like able to fly an alien space ship before you even got a driver’s license. So stop worrying about it.”

“Anyone can fly a space ship around here,” Alex gave Clover a smile which the fellow spy reciprocated.

“But not just anyone could in our home universe.” Clover smirked and gave Alex a joking side eye. “Cheer up Alex, I can totally see you rocking MILF chic.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?!” Alex exclaimed as Clover only giggled and nodded her head towards the store.

“Come on, the sooner we get the groceries, the sooner we can get you fitted for maternity pants.” Clover waved to Marinette to start pushing a cart and taking the cue, you walked to the one Alex had abandoned and maneuvered it so that Alex or Clover could grab it.

“Really Clover. Aren’t you going to need mom jeans way before me?” Alex teased as she took the cart’s handlebars and the group started to move away. You nodded towards the Sam Manson greeter, who had hidden after Alex’s panic.

“I can stitch the two of you some jeans that are both fashionable and practical,” Marinette offered. Alex and Clover blinked in surprise

“Oh um, thanks for the offer um,” Clover said, causing Alex to cough and lean over and whisper in Clover’s ear. “Marinette. You do some fashion design right? Yeah, I am so down for some modeling time.”

“We start tomorrow in the morning.” The bluenette grinned as you started heading towards the right side of the store. Alex, Clover, and Marinette started to discuss scheduling and clothing options which flew over your head a little; Starfire would probably know more since she did a couple of modeling jobs for the various Gardner family businesses in the past.

“So what are we going to get first?” Alex inquired a few seconds later, realizing you haven’t mentioned anything about the shopping list so far.

“Well, priorities shifted a little but we are going to get bulk pregnancy tests,” you explain, pointing to a sign in the distance that said Aisle 8: Medical. “Those scanners they have are good but we should get a second opinion just in case. And also have Katara and Sakura take a look at you.”

Alex who had calmed down at the news of being pregnant now looked a little flummoxed at the possibility that she might not be. “A–ah, okay but why bulk?”

“Because I am very sexually active with most of the harem… and a bunch of other girls too?” You add a tilt in your voice at her question. “Best to be prepared.”

“Oh…,” she sheepishly blushed and focused on the cart she was pushing.

“Okay, those are the pregnancy tests taken care of,” you say, putting a two hundred count box of tests in your cart. A little bit away, Clover and Alex were closer to the stack’s elevator, looking through various medical devices meant to help with pregnancy like nausea devices, support belts, and massagers, all things you had already gotten for Aelita and Starfire but you didn’t have additional duplicates for. On the next stack over, Marinette was rummaging through the shelves for bandages and other general medical supplies for the infirmary that Katara and Sakura had requested.

Turning your cart around, you spotted something that you hadn’t before.
