A three on one spar!

"Um... why exactly am I doing this again?" Issei asked another few days into the training. In front of him, Kiba, Akeno, and an overly eager Koneko were standing, getting ready to fight.

"Because, we are outnumbered in the Rating Game, even with you adding an extra fighter to our ranks," Rias told Issei. "Therefore, ensuring we all have experience fighting multiple enemies at once will be critical. There's a good chance we'll get Zerg Rushed... You've already done evasion training with these three, but they won't be going so easy on you this time. Nor will they warn you before the attacks. On the plus side, now you're allowed to hit back."

"...yeah, I'm more happy about them not warning me than dismayed, believe it or not... I'm genuinely traumatized by the word "dodge" now..." Issei grumbled, mentally preparing himself.

She looked at the three about to gang up on Issei. "No lethal ****, got it?" she added, looking at Koneko in particular when she said this. "Beyond that, anything goes."

"Awww..." Koneko pouted playfully, but still cracked her knuckles, looking at Issei intently.

"...this is going to suck, but let's do this anyway!" Issei declared, bringing out his Boosted Gear, and activating the first Boost. Almost immediately, he had to duck from a blow that cut off a few hairs from his head, courtesy of Kiba. Of course, Kiba knew he would dodge, so slammed a kick into Issei's midsection, sending him skidding back and winded. Koneko had jumped, and was about to crash down fist first on Issei, who managed to dodge aside, resulting in her hand cratering the ground instead of him. "What happened to no lethal ****!?" he whimpered.

"Oh relax, you're durable enough to handle what we're throwing at you~!" Akeno cheered as she brought lightning down on where he was standing, which he barely avoided. "You won't die, but we ARE allowed to make you wish we were allowed to kill you!" Issei shivered at Akeno's sadism. Even if she didn't exactly hate him, her love for causing pain was scary! He then yelped as he moved to the side, barely avoiding a boulder Koneko punted at him.

"Boost!" he shouted again. The three didn't let up, aiming to end this quickly, before he got enough Boosts in to turn the tables. Kiba was behind him, and slashed at his back, the blade blunt, but still capable of leaving a gash with enough **** behind it, as Issei found out, lurching forward, and barely avoiding a direct hit, but still having a shallow cut that really stung on his back. Akeno blasted him with a bolt of lightning, stunning him long enough for Koneko to close in, and gut check him with a solid punch. "Gah!" he gasped, crashing back against a tree, struggling to remember how to use his lungs after that one.

He started to get up, trying to breathe after having the wind knocked out of him, before seeing Kiba coming in from the side. He lurched away, and managed to throw a hasty kick at Kiba's shin, but he was avoided. He rolled away from another lightning strike, finally managing to take in a greedy gasp of air as his lungs decided to start working again, before a shadow was over him, and he looked up to see Koneko standing over him, holding another boulder, clearly able to squish him before he could do anything.

"And that's this match," she told him flatly, before dropping the boulder at her side, making Issei sigh in relief that she didn't follow through. "Reset, and we'll go again." Issei groaned, and stood up, dismissing his Gear, then Summoning it again, dispelling the Boosts he had triggered. This was going to be a long day...
