Chapter 42 by Blurred_Words

Ready for the party?

Either way, it's too late to back out

“Damn Harper. Just… I mean… Um… Wow” The stuttering from Josh barely conveying his thoughts, at least not nearly as well as his eyes which I could feel ravishing every inch of my body.

“Hey sweetie, can I come in, it’s a bit cold outside.” I saunter pass him, giving him a quick peck on the cheek before making my way into the apartment.

Pete and another guy were moving the couch against the backwall, while a fourth was following suit with the chair. Looking around the room, I count two other people – girls from the looks of their clothes, in the kitchen getting what looks like snacks ready.

“WHAT THE FUCK!” The shout from the kitchen quickly stops everyone from their jobs as they look around to see what the issue is, before all six sets of eyes fall on me. “PETE! What the fuck is going on?”

“Wait, wait, wait. Amber, hold on.” Pete quickly trying to defuse whatever is going on.

“SHE’S FUCKING NAKED! What the hell! You said you had a surprise, not a fucking stripper.”

“Hey, I’m not a stripper. And I want to do this.” I butt in, trying to help defuse her anger. “I lost a little bet to Pete and Josh – and well, I said I would be the waitress for their party tonight.”

“I mean, I thought… not like this… I mean, like this, but not THIS.” Josh’s words still struggling to come out cleanly.

“Yeah Harp, this isn’t what we expected. We just wanted a short skirt, not NO skirt.” Pete adding.

“Trust me, this is what I want. Besides, it’s not like I could afford a skirt after buying this top today.” A small snicker as I let the group in on how this is completely my choice.

“Oh, so she’s feisty. I like that.” The other girl finally speaks up, and as our eyes meet, I feel a shiver ripple through my skin as I can sense the hunger in them. “We can have fun with that.”

“Ok, so I’m Harper. And like I said, I wanted to hang out with Pete and Josh tonight, but with the poker game and me being horrible at it, I thought I could just hang out. Anyways – a couple of drinks and bets later – I agreed to be everyone’s waitress tonight. And another really really bad bet – in lingerie. So – that’s me.” Looking at everyone as I give a nearly true rundown of what brought me here.

“I’m Sally,” the horny – or um, hungry – girl said, “and that’s Amber. Mike and Ben are over there.” As she finishes introductions by pointing at everyone as she names them. “And, I guess that means you get to finish these up.”

Everyone else in the room, still stunned and staring at me, kept frozen in their places as Sally moved over the couch. Before anything else could happen, I nodded at Sally and with a smile, headed over to replace her in prepping the snacks – leaving the rest of the room to stare at my ass.

After a couple more minutes of awkward silence, I’ve managed to fill the two bowls on the counter with chips and pretzels, and turned to see the dinning room table moved to the center of the living room.

“Where would you all like these?” holding out the two bowls of snacks, looking at the group.

“On the table, but near the sides so we can keep the middle clear for chips.” Mike answered, barely looking up from the stack of poker chips he was split out into multiple piles.

“Yes sir,” the words escaping before I can even register what I said. However, I quickly set the snacks out and start taking people drink orders. Luckily, it’s all canned beer and seltzers, so nothing hard to make.

Honestly, after about the initial fifteen minutes, everything is back to normal as the game gets started and the focus that was going to me is instead turned on the cards.

I try to follow along, but with words like big blind, river, and burning cards that doesn’t take fire – I have no idea what is going on. But, I stand off to the side, with a smile on my face and my hands behind my back - hoping that the nerves running rampant in my mind couldn’t be seen by anyone else. When people’s drinks start to run low, I quickly am there to replace it with a fresh one. The bowls of snacks also getting refilled faster than they can be emptied.

“Ok, that’s enough – let’s take a break.” Mike, tossing his cards down, tells the group. “I need a break after losing that on a lucky flush draw. I had the nuts and everything.”

“I wish I had your nuts” my mouth again speaking without my brain telling it to.

“What?!” Mike a mix of confusion, surprise, and intrigue. “Hold on, what did you say.”

Gulp. Guess it’s all in.

“I said, sir, that I wish I had your nuts.” I take a small bite of my bottom lip as my eyes dart to the floor – refusing to look into the eyes of the man.
