Byleth ponders. It would be a good way to see how Shez was progressing. "All right, after class today, we'll hold a duel in the training grounds. Practice weapons okay?"

"Yes! I mean, that's good by me." Shez said as she calmed down, hoping not to seem too eager. Byleth nodded as he watched the rest of his class look after the horses. Leonie was already giving tips to Caspar, who had brushing a bit hard.

Looking back as Shez, she also seemed to be struggling with brushing her horse. "Shez, you are being too... coarse with your brushing?" Petra responded, the statement turning into a question as she noticed she might have said something wrong.

"It's 'rough', Petra. And thanks." Shez said, taking a deep breath before slowing down and putting more attention into what she was doing. Satisfied that the class was doing well, Byleth walked up and down the stables to keep tabs on the students, occasionally commenting on how he'd had to fight cavalry and bow knights on occasion. They had been formidable opponents, given they could easily get out of range after a few shots. He could tell his students were taking good notes of that, even though only a few seemed interested in fighting on a mount.

Eventually, the time in the stables, drew to a close, so Byleth ended up following Shez to the training grounds, a surprising amount of his class following them. "It's been a while since I had time to see either of you fight. Mind if I take on the winner?" Caspar said with his usual enthusiasm for combat. Byleth simply shrugged as they arrived, Shez looking over two practice blades next to a very tall blonde knight. She had been talking with the purple haired student before she spotted him.

"Oi, nice to meet you. Guessing you're the new professor?" As Byleth introduced himself, Sothis appeared and was visibly drooling around the blonde knight. "Nice to meet ya, Byleth. I'm Catherine, a knight in Lady Rhea's service. Guess we'll be working together." She reached out and shook Byleth's hand, his memory going back to the mission he was going on at the end of the month. So this was who he'd be working with. Probably be a good idea to get to know her bett-

"C'mon, Professor!" Shez cried from the center of the room. "Are we doing this or not!?" The eager girl started pouting.
