Someone WAY out of Issei's league! But thankfully, he's diplomatic!

Issei's gaze settled on a figure hanging in the air, a Fallen Angel, judging by the black wings... All twelve of them. Issei blinked and stared. "Mind letting my subordinate go?" the Angel asked, his tone pleasant.

"A-Azazel-sama!" Raynare said, suddenly looking far more hopeful than before. "Please help me, this Devil is out to kill me!"

"Be quiet Raynare. If anything, he's well within his rights to do so, given you came to his home and tried to kill him," Azazel chided darkly, and she paled. Issei shivered at the sudden intent he felt from Azazel. And he understood at that moment that Azazel could kill him at any time he pleased, he was simply choosing not to. "You broke the truce, and risked reigniting the Great War," Azazel continued. "As such, I'm not going to stop him from killing you if he so chooses. I'm simply going to negotiate for your life, and the decision is his."

"B-but!" Raynare protested, but she was silenced by a subtle glare from Azazel, who still seemed fairly easygoing, but Issei and Raynare both realized that he was not to be tested.

"And don't think I don't know about what you planned to do with that Asia girl. I saw the Sacred Gear Transfer Ritual set up," Azazel continued. "You and Freed are both on the hook for your actions."

Issei took a deep breath, but didn't let Raynare up. Not yet. "...so, you want me to let her go? And what will you give me in exchange?" Issei asked, trusting that Azazel was negotiating in good faith for some reason.

Azazel chuckled. "Well, for starters, I am prepared to see to her punishment personally. I can assure you that while I don't want her blood shed, she is very much in hot water with us. Like I said, she breached the treaty, which I take very seriously. Not to mention, she intended to steal the Sacred Gear of one of our own allies, which would have killed her."

Issei's face darkened at hearing that, and he tightened his grip on Raynare's face, making her whimper. "You're not exactly doing a good job at convincing me to spare her, telling me that," he told Azazel flatly.

Azazel chuckled sheepishly, and raised his hands placatingly. "Fair enough. How about this then?"
