occurrences in Willowdale. As you walk down the main street, you spot the librarian, Mrs.

Abigail Thompson, exiting a quaint bookshop. You approach her, hoping to glean more

information.

"Mrs. Thompson, do you have a moment? I had a few more questions about the town's

history," you ask with a disarming smile.

Abigail's eyes widen as she recognizes you from your earlier encounter. "Oh, hello again!

was just on my way t o the park for a quick break. Care to join me?"

You nod and fall into step beside her. As you walk, you casually inquire about any unusual

events or individuals she may have noticed recently:

Abigail ponders for a moment before responding. "Well, there was one peculiar incident

last week. I was closing up the library late one evening when I heard strange noises coming

from t h e old Willowdale mansion. It s o u n d e d like s o m e sort o f ritualistic chanting. I didn't

think much of it at the time, but now that you mention it, it does seem rather odd."

Your interest piqued, you press her for more details. "Have you noticed anything else out

of the ordinary? Perhaps involving some of the town's more attractive residents?"

Abigail's cheeks flush slightly at your question. "Now that you mention it, I have noticed

some of the women in town acting a bit differently. Almost as if they've been..." She trails

off, searching for the right word.

"Enchanted?" you offer, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, that's it! Enchanted. It's as if they're under some sort o f spell." Abigail shakes her

head. "But that's just silly, isn't it?"
