While Boruto was enjoying being waited on hand and foot by his mother, he couldn't help but feel like Inojin was still holding back.
"So what next?" Boruto asked "I mean, this is great and all, but is this it?"
Inojin looked at him quizzically once more.
"Okay. How about this. You mentioned being upset with your mom. Why?"
Inojin let out an annoyed sigh.
"She's trying to teach me more advanced uses for our Mind Transfer technique. However I've been struggling. As infuriating as that is on its own, she's been especially obnoxious about it. She won't stop pestering me about practicing, even though I've spent almost every waking moment training. The reason I'm here is because I let me anger get the better of me after arguing with her." He huffed.
"Good! Then channel that! You wanna get back at your mom right? She probably insulted you or something? So what would you do?" Boruto asked. "Think about it, then start warming up to it with my mom. When you're ready to do it for real, we can head to your place."
He could see a shift in Inojin as he began seriously thinking about it...
