Laura and Savannah Hendrix

Ember managed to get herself into the hands of a Laura and Savannah Hendrix, a Canadian sapphic couple who mainly just trade stocks and got a boost from Laura's family background. Laura's father, Alex C. Hendrix, got somewhat famous outside of the business world for apparently "giving up on the idea of what's natural" after aging and reproduction ceased, going from being staunchly homophobic to totally indifferent to sexuality and gender identity and repairing his relationship with his daughter. The story went viral partly because of the wholesome end, and partly because the whole concept was kinda funny.

Being somewhat public figures, there were some PR and public persona barriers getting in the way of knowing anything about the Hendrixs' personalities for certain, but it seemed that they both had always had strong maternal instincts that they used for taking care of pets and plants until recently when they began searching for a little through EIPRA.

On the day Ember was to go finally see her new family in person, she wore a fairly cute but otherwise normal outfit and brought what she was told she'd be allowed to keep in a Stitch backpack from Hot Topic and a small suitcase. Mostly just her cuter clothes and what she plays games with. She'd been explicitly told she shouldn't bother bringing panties, but that she didn't need to arrive diapered. The panties she wore today may be the last in a long time, and Ember's heart skipped a beat whenever she thought about it, so she didn't dwell on it much further.

When the EIPRA vehicle came, Ember awkwardly hugged her mom, and the agent put the suitcase in the trunk before opening the car door for Ember. Ember was quickly grateful for how the way the car was parked obscured that side from view of the porch, given that it had a whole entire adult-sized front-facing car seat. The worker took the backpack and set it next to the car seat before having Ember sit so they could buckle her. They wordlessly shut the door and drove off, and Ember just watched the houses and trees go by.

Normally, a little would have next to nothing they should bother taking with them, given how little freedoms they typically have. Ember would definitely lose a lot of freedoms, to the point of being like an infant or young toddler, but in other ways she'd almost be like a teenager. Ember supposed there were a few similarities between toddlers and teenagers. It sounded kinda fun, potentially, not that Ember wanted to get her hopes up.

It wasn't long before the place Laura and Savannah Hendrix lived in for most of the year came into view. It was huge in a way the pictures online Ember could find couldn't do justice. They typically vacationed to someplace warmer for the winter and do some travel in general, but this was like their home base. It probably qualified as a mansion, not that Ember knew exactly how that was determined. It was probably arbitrary, anyway.

The car rolled up to the front, and the driver exited, and let Ember out. They handed Ember her backpack and took the suitcase out of the trunk. The worker took the suitcase and said simply "Follow me," leading Ember to the front door as he rang the bell. A maid soon opened the door and welcomed the two into the lobby. After a short moment, Laura and Savannah entered, lighting up as they saw Ember.

"Oh Ember," Savannah beamed, her dyed burgundy curls bouncing with each step she took toward Ember. "There's our girl!"

Ember flushed a little at Savannah's forwardness as Laura took the suitcase and dismissed the driver. Laura then turned to Ember, her hair jet black and pin straight in contrast to Savannah's. "How was the trip, Ember?"

"Uh, it was fine," Ember replied, having been unsure the whole time of what to expect of their first meeting. "I've been on long car rides before, just not usually such a quiet one," Ember elaborated, giving a tiny wry smile, not wanting to overstep in the first ten minutes of meeting and make it awkward, or worse.

Laura smiled, "Well, lets show you your new room and get you situated, m'kay Ember?"
