Sunday Sept 1st

Your dreams that night were particularly vivid. You were lying on a pool chair, beer in hand, while a heavily pregnant Lili knelt nearby incase you needed anything. Reclining on the deck chair next to you was Krystal. Her belly was just starting to show at 10 weeks, but she was already religously rubbing lotion into her skin, already trying to minimize any stretch marks. You see your backdoor open, which was strange as you didn't have a pool. Knock knock knock

"Uncle Jason, a pickup just pulled up outside," Krystal called thru the door. Looking at the clock you saw, it was close to 11.

Still groggy, you call out,"Give me a minute Krystal ill be out."

Sitting up, you wipe the sleep out of your eyes and notice that you had missed twelve texts while you slept. Most were just letting you know the players have arrived and a load was on the way. Two, though, were important the first was Jennifer and Rebecca would be here any minute to help. The other was Lili texting that her mom was supposed to be getting released at noon.

"Crap, no time for a shower," you think outloud. Pulling on some sweat pants and a t-shirt, you grab your phone, heading to the front of the house.

Opening your bedroom door, you see three football players carrying plastic bins into Lilies new bedroom. The three young men nod to you,"Morning Mr.Clarkson."

"Gentleman, how goes everything," you query.

One of the players, a tall 6,5" defenive back who most people called Tank for obvious reasons tells you,"Jakes over at Lilies helping to keep things moving. If nothing goes wrong, he says we should be done around three."

You thank the boys while squeezing by them heading into the living room. Krystal was talking with Jennifer and Becky, who'd just walked in.

Rushing by them into the kitchen, you grab a pop tart, telling them,"No time to talk. I have just enough time to get to the hospital to pick up Lilies Mom."

You dash outside only to be brought up short as you were blocked in. Striding over the to the pickup, you could hear two of the players talking.

"Dude, im telling you what I saw. I had no idea Lilies mom was such a freak."

His friend smacked him of the shoulder, saying,"I'd forget what you saw. If it gets out and the queen bitch knows it was you forget getting any pussy."

Walking up you pretend that you didn't hear anything saying to them," Hey fellas can you unblock me I need to get to St.Johns like yesterday to pick Lilies mother."

"Sure thing Mr.C says the driver."

Hopping into your car you pull out as soon as the trucks bumper clears your driveway. Between people going to church and it being the labor day weekend traffic was lighter than it normally would be. Still you had to break about a dozen traffic laws to arrive at St.Johns at 11:58am.

Finding parking you rushed inside. Hurrying through the hospital lobby you skid into a partially filled elevator. Arriving at the floor you hurry to room 465 and stop. Lilies mom was eating a sandwhich and chips and still not dressed.

She looked at up you,"thank you for coming Mr.Clarkson the nurse is getting my release orders."

Shaking your head you,"Its no problem and Jason is fine."

"Then please call my Sunyi." She says before eating a Ruffles. A few minutes the nurse came by and apologized telling us the doctor was delayed. After she left you sat there working up your confidence for 15 minutes before asking.

"Sunyi, yesterday you said that Jae had broken trust. Were you his submissive?"

Sunyi looks at you but you could see her mind was somewhere else. At last she nods confessing,"Yes I was, and I'm scared that if I saw him again right now..."

"You don't need to say anything else Sunyi I understand." You gently tell her.

She kept talking and you figured it was because she was thinking through things got here like a personal after action report.

"I met Jae as a college freshman he was older than me a senior. He... overwhelmed me made, me feel special and cared for. When I got pregnant he had me quit school and start our household."

At first Sunyi looked happy as she thought about the past. Then her eyes began to darken.

"Lili was two when Jae was asked to go on a big buisness trip to Singapore. He was soo happy a chance to impress his superiors." You see her visibly start to wilt, so you reached over holding her hand. She smiled," It was hard being alone with Lili,but Jae would call give me direction and purpose."

"Six months... six months for the merger to finish. When Jae got back he hugged me saying its time to start on a son."

"And lilies an only child," you guess.

"Jae while there would socialize with his boss go to clubs... take weekend trips to bangkok." Tears started to stream down her bruised cheek,"one of the prostitutes he shared gave him syphilis. We found out two months after he got home when it showed up in my routine bloodwork."

"I was treated easily, but Jae... was sterile." She looks over at you her eyes boring into you,"that's when he atarted to changed he told me it was my fault that I had failed him it was the first time he punished me for no reason."

Hearing you a virtual stranger say that seemed to electrify her mentally. "An abuser," she says as if trying it out to see how it sounds."Yes he was, bit by bit. "How did he do that." You ask.

"Whenever she would make a mistake, get anything less than a A, or tell him no he would punish me."

The poor woman you thought. Trying to be reassuring you say"I know it hard Sunyi but keep telling yourself you did nothing wrong and you didn't deserve this. Say it enough and eventually you won't have to anmore."

Sunyi guves you a genuine smile saying,"You are a good man."

"I don't know about that..." you say when the nurse comes in. "Good news the doctor signed your orders. You can get dressed and I'll be back with a wheelchair in a few minutes."

You walk out into the hallway giving Sunyi the needed privacy to get dressed. You stand out there for several minutes until Sunyi calls out,"You can come in now."

Reentering the room she was back into the same clothes she'd been wearing on Friday. She was sitting on the side of the bed when the nurse came in with stack of paper and a wheelchair.

"I'll head downstairs and get the car," you tell them as the nurse starts going over the release instructions. Getting back to the car you fire off a quick text leting Lili know her mother had now been released.

After a few minutes you see Sunyi and the Nurse so you pull into the hospital driveway. The nurse helps here into the passenger seat and after thanking her you pull out.

About halfway home you ask,"Sunyi did they give you any prescriptions."

Sunyi says nothing afyer a couple minutes you were about to ask her again when she replied in a small voice,"I have no money."

You remember that she had told you that her husband only gave her money when he wanted. "Listen," you tell her," ill get them."

"I can't," she starts as you cut in saying,"I'm not offering charity."

She says nothing for a few more minutes before saying," Very well ill accept it if I can care of your household."

You agree at 15 minutes later you arrived at home. Sunyi handed you the prescriptions, telling you her date of birth. Krystal, Jennifer, and Rebecca cane out to escort her in. You pull out to head to the pharmacy when turned out to be the same Walgreens that you used. Fortunately the pharmacy was still open beung Kavor Day Sunday. 40 later, your stomach rumbling, you walked out of the store with her meds. Stopping off at a McDonalds you grab a double quarter pounder.

Humger was starting to gnaw at you so you pulled into the parking lot to eat. As you ate your hamburger you found yourself thinking about what you overheard earlier. That player had said I no idea Lilies mom was such a freak.

With Sunyi admitting that she has been her husbands submissive. You had a sinking feeling that the teen hadn't been talking about a dildos or vibrators. If you were right Lilies collar would raise questions. Finishing your meal, you hadn't figured out what to do. So you decide you'll have to cross that bridge when you get to it. Starting the car, you head home.
